Will Dick Cheney stay on the Bush ticket for 2004, or will concerns over health, the chance to annoint a candidate for 2008, or more Halliburton whining knock him off the ballot.
RUDY!!
This'll be open for a while. Convention is Aug 30 - Sep 2.
I've been praying for a long time that Cheney would use the heart problem as an excuse to bow out and would be replaced on the ticket with either Rudy or Condoleeza.
Nothing too much against Cheney, but the guy's a drain on the ticket.
If Cheney is not on the ticket, it's unlikely to have Rumsfeld on it. I doubt he would want that job, and the partisan media would ignore the entire planet and start telling us how Rummy should be boiled in oil for his part in war crimes, yada yada yada. Rice would be nice, but that would be polarizing for sure. Maybe Newt Gingrich. ;)
Rumsfeld? Heavens no. More polarizing than Cheney, he.
The kickass ticket would be Bush/Guiliani or Bush/Rice - but I'd say Guiliani would virtually guarantee victory by a fair margin.
If Edwards hooks up with Kerry and Kerry wins, I'll be hoping Kerry suffers the same term in office as Pope John Paul the First ('member him?).
