Ok, need help here..

I used to play a game back in '93 or '94 that was on the PC.

It was set in some swampy Florida town and it was post-apocalypse. You, the player would search through buildings and swamps/forests for weapons and food and try to stay away from or kill mutants who had been mutated by radiation. Of course, the mutants would try to eat you :)

I believe it was a top down perspective.

So... anyone familiar with the game???

Hi Eddy,

A lot of your descriptions point to the Fallout series
- post apoc
- mutants
- top down
- swampy looking maps

However it primarily took place in Cali.

I really enjoyed those games myself and I always hoped for more but corporate bungling at Interplay prevented that. For years now there have been rumours of a massively multiplayer Fallout. Fallout OnLine (F.O.O.L.) has never been worked on to my knowledge but sneaky screenshots occasionally pop up.

Bethesda licensed the rights to the Fallout® franchise from Interplay Entertainment Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: IPLY) in a deal that awards Bethesda exclusive worldwide rights to the Fallout® franchise on the PC, home consoles, handhelds, and other media, with the option to develop and publish additional sequels.
