gearrat,
I was in V2/AG from 86'-89'. Sadly, I can't place your name. When I left, Ramat was the Gear Chief, Bob Mastin was LPO and we still had that putz Erickson as Bos'n. I just recently had a good visit with Mastin and still keep in regular contact with Adam Mains, Fred Moore and Mel Godley. Sorry that we did'nt know you were in SD sooner as I was there for the first two days of opening week.
I've been looking for a lot of the old rats and may have lines on Boner and Burdy but have'nt made contact yet.
Have you found anyone else? If so, give me a holler at gmorrow@rigthebarricade.com

The only person I had email contact with was Adam Mains, but I lost his email address. Others I found on line, but the email addresses were no longer valid. I went to the 80's thru 90's opening, but saw no one from either of those decades. I did meet two of the original crew members. That was really neat. Mastin and Ericson still held those postions, and I worked with Mains and Godley on topside. I kwew Moore, but I did not work with him. The crew I knew the most were Carolin, Moran, Leachman, Lazar, Longshore, Luethse, and Hamilton. We all made up the last Topside crew. I miss those guys. We owned topside. I live only 10 minutes away from the Midway, so I go buy it often.
