Folks,
Buzz, Troy and Rig won't say it so I am going to put on my Redhat and be the voice of reason. These folks have hundreds (Literally) of Images to sort thru. When I say Hundreds, I am talking about their own images, pics etc. This does not include the 200 hundred or so I have sent to Buzz. Gene alone has 500 images to go thru. I know for a fact the Troy has 20+ rolls of images to sort, scan and upload.
What does all this mean to you. It will be a long process for these folks to get pics up on thier sites. We are talking about 14-21 days at a minimum.
I also want to alert you to the following. I purchased 4 limited edition commerative pennies. Each is stamped with Opening week dates. The reason I say this is because they will be up for auction on Ebay sometime in the very near future. Reserve price will be 9.99 to start. All, repeat All proceeds will go to Buzz and Troy. (I will split the proceeds 50/50, between Troy and Buzz. I keep nothing). This will be to help offset the cost of server space.
I encourage all of you to email Buzz and Troy. Tell them you would have no problem donating a buck or two to the cause of Server maintenence. Encourage these folks to set up paypal accounts so we can literally give 1 or 2 dollars. Thats less than the cost of one beer at any road side dive/bar. For those not familiar with the process, as Buzz/Troys website uploads more pics, etc, they take up massive amounts of server space. It is literally like filling Jugs. Once the Jug is full, ya have to buy another jug or stop storing the contents, remove old contents etc. I for one dont want Buzz or Troy to delete a flippin thing. I enjoy pics from the 40's as much as I like seeing my name and albums.
