Drink Du Jour (or Shot to Hell)

The first in a semi-regular posting of drinks for you to "try out":

DOCTOR PEPPER
3/4 oz. amaretto
1/4 oz. Bacardi 151
1 lager beer in a mug or ppint glass
Top amaretto with 151, light the shot, drop it into the beer, and chug --- extra style points if you can catch the shot glass in your teeth when draining the beer. The drink of choice for softening up Capitol coeds.

FOUR HORSEMEN
1/2 oz. Bacardi 151
1/2 oz. Jagermeister
1/2 oz. Rumple Minze
1/2 oz. Goldschlager
1 spoon
By slowly pouring them over the back of a spoon, layer Horsemen in shot glass in order listed. Drink. See visions of Apocalypse.

BLOODY BRAIN
1 1/4 oz. light rum
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Baileys Irish Cream
2 drops Grenadine
Pour Bailey's into center of rum-filled shot glass, where it will hang in a brainlike mass; add grenadine for ersatz blood and drink it up.

Does anyone know how to make Purple Passion. I know that it is made up of 190 proof everclear and grape kool aid. I just don't know the ratio.

Here is my 91-year old grandma's recipe for cough syrup. She's made it for me and it really does work, but it is kind of yucky:

1 jigger vodka
1 jigger lemon juice
fill the rest of the glass with boiling water

Drink in bed and fall asleep right after. You really will wake up feeling better.

Purple Passion! Haven't heard that since my college days long ago. In Iowa, they actually bottled the stuff and sold it along side wine coolers (wimpier versions of the potent purple potion)! I will have to research and get back to you. . .

Purple Passion: 1 cup of Ever-Clear to 1.5 gallons of Kool Aid.

A nice spin on this is Passion Punch -- great for summer time parties.

Line your sink with a 30-gallon Hefty trash bag -- tape the edges of the bag to the counter so it stays secure.

Fill the sink with slices of melons and citrus fruits -- watermelon, honeydew, cantelope, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, etc.

Now, fill the sink with 2 cups of Ever Clear and 3 gallons of fruit punch.

The fruit soaks up the booze and you have a tasty libation for the evening's festivities.

Thanks for the Purple Passion ratio. The passion punch sounds very good also. I heard a rumor that the everclear sold in CA is wimpy and not 190 proof. Do you know anything about this? If so were can real everclear be found?
