Streaming audio files

Hey anyboby happen to know how to save streaming audio to a hard disk? Any programs for this? Windows media player will allow me to save a copy of it to a cd but not to the computer:what: and at the moment I don't have any freakin cd's. I try to "save target as" but all I get is the link to the streaming file. Thanks for any help yall can offer.

Microsoft streaming media, if implemented properly, allows one to prevent download by design (see Limbaugh's site, for example).

As far as sound goes, pop open the old-school windows recorder.

You could also scrounge through your cache.

Dump your cache, play the file and then search your cache. Or you'll be looking forever.

You don't need to dump your cache. After you play the file, run a specific search. Use the parameter of files created within the last 10 minutes or so, and you will greatly narrow the results.
