View Full Version : Thinking of Summer - Where are you going on vacation

After digging out of the snow for three days straight I now have walls down my driveway and snow piled up to the top of the fence. It's right about now that I think about summer and vacation. Anyone have any vacations planned yet? Where are you going, when are you going, what are you going to do when you get there?

So far we only have planned to go out to San Diego in June when the USS Midway opens to the public. In addition to touring the ship and going exploring, we plan to do the San Diego Zoo and visit Bucko up north a ways.

I have a national conference to attend in Vegas in July, and work pays for flight and accomodations.....how will I ever be awake for the daytime sessions!!!!

I am thinking about a cruise with my girlfriend too sometime in May.....maybe from Florida to Mexico.

We have 3 trips planned this year. The first one is to Tampa in Feb. for 5 days to party with some friends. The second is Seattle in April for 10 days to party with other friends. The last one of the year is back to Fla to see the last NASCAR reace of the season in the fall. I can't wait to move to Fla to save money on plane tickets. :sure:

Jr is gay. ;) Besides, with the new format, he will have to try and be in the top ten in points before they restart the standings with 10 races left. (he can't win at non plate tracks)

He had plenty of top 5's and 10's on non-restictor races. Gordon lover!

BTW, I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old point system. :what:

First week of March - Bachelor Party in Key West
April 9-23rd - China

No vacation left for summer.

Eagle, make sure you go to the S.D. Wild Animal Park as well. I like that better than the S.D. zoo.

Well, actually, I was hoping to go to San Diego myself to see the Midway (been reading up in the Midway Forum  ) I could probably hitch a ride down in my ex's truck. And maybe look around for a few days. Depends on where I get a job, and if I can take any time off. :what:

Key West is awsome! It would be a great place to retire if it wasn't for hurricanes. :what:

I'll be in London the 3rd week of August. It should be a hell of a batchelor party.

No shit, what cuda said.
You told us you're rich. So what's with the "work" thingy?

In order to stay rich I have to keep working, thats the part that sucks. I take my vacation usually in october, it doesnt matter coz it's always hot. My yard is my private paradise. I guess it's like freaking Disneyland.;)

Jdub..you're getting stuck with the ball and the chain?..

Vacation - what's that?
I have no idea where to take a 4 and 6 year old that won't cost me an arm and leg. We are thinking of maybe camping? But don't know.
The kids want Disney - but I don't know if I'm ready for that.
Any ideas are welcome...

I have a 3 and a 6 year old, they love the beach, they are busy all day on the beach. Easy for me too, I just sit down and chill. Does this help Kim?

Well, I need another vacation, so we are going on one this friday. We are off to Colorado to drop off our kids at their grandparents, then flying off to Seattle for a week. My wifes best friend lives there, so we are going to just hang out and get boozed up probably. We might meet some people from another forum we visit, but other than that, we have no plans. To me, that is a true vacation, not knowing what you are going to do until you get up in the morning, or afternoon as the case may be.

Anyone else going somewhere soon?

I'll be heading to Destin, FL, in the middle of June. Gonna just relax and enjoy the beach.

Hey, I have been there! There are some very non-ugly ladies out on the beach, you should have a good time.

I think you should all consider the Cincinnati/Dayton area for your summer vacation. Lots to do here ;)

Ok, not that much to do here.. but I'm here :p
