I thought I'd start a Beer Garden Hall of Fame - all those noteworthy drunks out there need a home. Somewhere they can be recognised for their illustrious feats of drunkenness. I'll start with the obvious one - any other nominees?

On tour in Australia in 2000, Dave Grohl and the other Foo Fighters rented mopeds to cruise around. Things went well until...
"We were riding them back from a show to the hotel when we saw a police barricade. I figured they'd just wave me through, but I had to blow into the little straw. I'd had, like, four beers. I told them I could just walk to the hotel, but they said, 'Sorry, mate, gonna have to put you in the watch house tonight.'"
Grohl, arriving at the local jail, was met with a pleasant surprise. How so? "It was filled," he explained, "with people who'd been at our show!"
[The biggest bummer? Grohl had to shave his sideburns off for a court appearance. Said Grohl: "I loved the 'burns, man. They just add to that whole Lynyrd Skynyrd redneck vibe."]

Country singer Wynonna Judd was arrested in November 2003 for drunk driving. Following a traffic stop, Nashville cops detected the smell of booze on the 39-year-old performer, whose eyes were watery and dilated. After consenting to a Breathalyzer, Judd blew a .175--more than twice the Tennessee limit.

One more...
John Osbourne (aka Ozzy Osbourne) was arrested by Memphis cops in May 1984 and charged with public intoxication. According to the police report, Ozzy was "staggering drunk" when nabbed on raucous Beale Street.

...and still they come. Here's some 'right royal' pissheads, although Harry's probably more famous for his bonging on than drinking, but he's still only young, and reputedly has been doing a wee bit of tippling since he's been in Oz.......

LOL! Funniest scene in that movie was when that horse got punched out! (Please, no horse lovers need to get on my ass. No horses were actually harmed in the making of that scene ;) )
How about the 'infamous' brother of Jimmy Carter, Billy?

I dunno who this guy is, but he seems like he'd be a lot of fun! :hehe:
He reminds me of a guy that used to live around here, Smiley Bowles. He had one tooth and it was green. Wore a wool coat 365 days a year. He'd stick his head in your car window to talk ... the breath would kill ya :scary:

Forget that link.....
Diana Ross was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol and ordered to spend two days in jail. The singer, who telephoned in to the Tucson, Arizona, court hearing from New York, pleaded no contest, and two related charges were dropped. Magistrate T. Jay Cranshawsentenced Ross, 59, to serve 48 hours in jail before March 9 and to complete at least 36 hours of alcohol-abuse treatment by Aug. 9. She also was sentenced to a year of unsupervised probation and fines and fees totaling about $850. "She got whatever an ordinary citizen … would have received," said Ronald Beran, a deputy city attorney. The Tucson police arrested Ross on Dec. 30, 2002, after a driver called to report a car traveling south in northbound lanes. Test results showed that Ross had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.20 percent. Arizona's legal limit is 0.08.
