Ghosts, Aliens, Hauntings, Poltergeists, The Paranormal, The Strange & Unusual........Has anyone had any experiences, encounters or problems with things that go bump in the night?

I haven't had any personal encounters, but I have had friends with some very convincing stories. I don't disbelieve. I would be more of a believer if I had had my own encounters.

How about you Barb? Have you had any?

My encounter with a UFO... This one time.....at band camp....heh

No, seriously, one night around 1am my oldest son, who was just an infant at the time, woke up needing to be fed. It was a beautiful night so I decided to sit on the front porch to feed him. As I was sitting there, I saw about 200ft above the tree line, a huge red glowing ball slowly fly over my house. It went across the street then took a sharp left & sped off. I was totally dumbfounded.

My ex husband was out of town on a business trip at the time so I called my neighbor, whose husband was an air traffic controller at Dobbins Air Force Reserve. She immediately called him & he was already getting all kinds of reports from people who had seen the same thing.

The week passed, my ex came back home about the same time I had seen the glowing ball the first time. I took him to the top of my driveway & was explaining to him what had happened. As I was telling him, it happened again. The exact same way & position. We were both shocked! I was glad at least I wouldn't have to convince him.

Funny thing is, my neighbors husband ended up getting transferred to New Mexico to Area 51 soon after. His wife stayed in Georgia to sell their house. He came home for x-mas & I of course, hounded him to tell me what he knew. He ended up telling me, "Barb if you knew what I knew, you'd be the happiest woman on earth."

With that, I thanked him, smiled & shut up. :alien:

Between 11:00PM & Midnight, April 4, 1980

They came again to torment me, manipulating my mind and soul. I think I am asleep, but soon realize my consciousness is mine. They hold me and insert their ways, pushing me deeper into the matress, strangling me, as I try to fight them off. I can see dark shapes as one holds my legs as another pushes my back futher towards the floor. I cannot speak, and they continue until my mind screams the Holy command, "In the name of God, leave me alone!"
Withdrawing from my being as a whole, they fight to obtain my judgement! I can feel the sensations as myself is beginning to be returned to me. But, before I am rid of the ultimate thief, he makes one last, desparate stand.
I feel and see castles shake and crumble! Great cities erupt inward as wide-spread destruction reaches its zenith while the demon subsides, screaming the agony of the ages. Finally, all parts of my existance are separated from the horroring aspects to which we may go.
I am in control. It is midnight.

Years back, me and a friend of mine were lying back on the windshield of my car and taking in the nice summer night at a new housing addition. We were talking and then, we saw a yellow light whiz across the eastern sky from northeast and stop. It then began to do loops, like half-arcs to the upper right, and was dancing all around. An airliner was flying right towards it and when it got to where the "gizzerblinky" was, the gizzerblinky went dark. When the airplane had passed through, the gizzerblinky came back light and went back to dancing.
We watched it for all summer long and then one night, we went to her house and her mom was standing out front, looking at it. She said a smaller blue one was in the northwestern sky and that jets had scrambled towards it. When the jets got so close to the blue one, it shot off out of sight and the yellow on took its place. When the jets got to the yellow one, it shot off to the southeast.
One night we tried driving with no lights on down a country road. It followed us! It followed us as far as 5 miles inside Tulsa. So, we continued to go out in the country and see what we could find out. There was never anything hostile about it and we did get a good look at it in low orbit above a farm through my binoculars.
We watched that "whatever" for 3 years and I found out later that a guy I worked with had been watching it too. It disappeared for about 10 years and then returned.
I haven't seen it again for a while.

Some blokes I know of in one of our local towns made these great devices. They were a wire frame covered in some tissue paper with a little burner underneath. When you lit the burner the whole thing became lighter then air and floated up.In a light breeze they would float slowly along at about 100 feet. You could see the glow of the burner but you couldnt tell how high they were.
They let one go which passed over a large part of the town.Apparently the police phone line ran hot.The news investigated ,people reported a strange light following them, multicoloured lights, noises, someones television reception was disturbed and I think even a window cracked. They were all adamant that this was a spaceship and their observations were accurate.

I was sitting alone in my house reading a book when a ball of wadded up masking tape went whizzing by my head from across the room. Another wacky thing...once I was cooking a pot of fresh green beans. I took one out of the pot with a spoon to check to see if they were done. I moved over to the cabinet to get a fork and when I turned back the green bean was gone. It hadn't fallen onto the floor or countertop, it was just gone! They have a weird sense of humor around me I guess. :alien:

Back when I was in Jr. High, I lived in a house where all of us had something happen. I had this Garfield or something stuff animal on my dresser. I was home alone and when I went upstairs I noticed that it was turned around. I didn't think about it and turned it back. I went downstairs to watch tv or whatever, and when I went up, it was turned around again. I checked the house to see where the dog was, but she was outside. I turned the thing around again and went out the room, shutting the door behind me. The phone rang and I answered it and was on the phone for about 15 minutes. I went back to my room and the toy was facing the other way again. I check the windows, and they were locked. I checked my closet, and it was empty. There was no way to get in the room. At this point I was starting to freak out, so I went outside to get out of the house. later when I went back, it was once again turned around. That was the only time it happened, but it was still wierd.

In that house, the stairway had floor to ceiling windows that over looked my bus stop. One morning after my parents left for work and I was waiting for the bus, I noticed the curtain pulled slightly apart. I thought, oh crap, I forgot to put the dog out. I started to walk across the street to the house and the curtains closed. When i got in the house, it was quiet and i couldnt find the dog. I looked around, but then I heard her barking. She was outside already. I had put her out.

I guess there could have been someone inside trying to freak me out, but it is more fun to think the house was haunted.:worry:

As far as aliens, etc. Yes, I believe they are out there.:alien:

I have to say that I just CAN'T 'believe' - but if I'd had an 'experience' like any of the above, I probably would give it some serious thought. An ex friend of mine was right into ghosts and all things spiritual. One night we were at dinner at her place and the subject of ghosts came up. As usual, I let it be known that I didn't believe in them. She turned to me and said 'Oh Jill, you DO!! You saw that little Edwardian boy round at my other house.' I didn't, ever.....in fact that was the first time I'd even heard about it. In the end, they were all sitting there saying that more or less I HAD to believe in them. So I said that I wasn't going to say I did, when I didn't. I also said that was why I didn't believe in God, because I'd never 'experienced' God. Anyway, I think they were all totally disgusted with me, and blamed it on my 'redneckness' (they were all born and bred city folk), and now that I look back on it, it was probably the beginning of the end of the friendship with my spiritual ex friend.

I hear you on that Jilly. I'm always skeptical when I hear someone's tales of ghosts & aliens. My sis claims she was being abducted by aliens from the bedroom we shared growing up. Yeah RIGHT! I was always sneaking out. Maybe she just dreamed I was an alien going in & out of the window. heh

I have one more story that happened to me. I took my son, when he was 3, to get his MMR shots. When he came home later that night he was running a slight fever. I gave him medicine, but was worried about him. He just wasn't acting right. So I made a bed for him beside the couch & we both went to sleep. I woke up a little while later because the front door blew open hard. My first thought was "Grandma" I got up, closed the door. Which I swore I had locked the first time, I always do. I layed back down & 1 minute later my son went into a fibral seizure. I've always thought my grandmother was watching over my son & I that night. Coincidence, maybe, but you just never know.

I worked in a women's shelter for 15 years and the building was a beautiful building over 100 years old (that's pretty old here). There were always stories about ghosts and stuff. At one stage we had these two crazy women there who'd convinced themselves that there were ghosts 'in da house'. These two women had used the ghost story to recall staff every night. One night I said to them 'Even if there is a bloody ghost here - what the fuck do you expect ME to do about it?' They'd gone around and drawn crosses on all the doors and became quite obsessed with the idea and they were also freaking out every new resident that came in. Eventually, they were demanding that we get the local priest to come and bless the place. I said I wanted nothing to do with it, but went ahead and arranged it for them. I told them I didn't even want to be in the place while he was there. ( ...more scared of a priest than a ghost). Anyway, he came and did whatever it was he had to do and I went out for an hour while he did it.
The stupid part was that once they'd got what they wanted, they no longer had an excuse to call staff in, so they sort of bit off their noses to spite their faces.
However, having said that, one of the workers there was a Fijian woman who did most definitely believe in ghosts, but she was very 'matter of fact' about it all. She didn't see them as something to be scared of - they were just there. She maintained that one night when she was in the building alone, she saw the ghosts of two little girls. She did some research, spoke to a few people who knew the house and it's history etc, and there WERE actually two little girls who'd lived there, I think they might have been the daughters of the original owners. They'd both died as children, and the lady who told the worker this regarded the ghost story as common knowledge. The 'ghosts' had even told my co worker their names. One was Eleanor and I can't remember the other one, but even the names tallied with the other lady who was familiar with the history of the house. If anyone was ever going to convince me that they existed, it'd be my Fijian friend. She has one of the healthiest attitudes I've ever come across concerning death, ghosts etc, and if I was to believe in them, I'd like to think that I could do it the same way as her....

This house was the home of my grandparents. My grandmother died in 1968. My grandad, who just happened to die of a self-inflicted shotgun blast while in the tub in 1972, hung around for a bit afterwards.
My mom let a young woman I knew back then stay here so the house wouldn't be an unhihabited target for vandals. She had a few things happen to her and finally booked it out of here. In the livingroom is a large, heavy dresser, made back in the 20s. To pull out the two large drawers in the middle, you gotta grab hold and PULL. These drawers would slide back and forth on their own with no problem. The back bedroom door would open and close, knob turning and all. The faucets in the tub would turn on full. She would also hear voices talking through the house. One night when the door started banging back and forth, she and her little boy moved right out without all their things, which we got to her soon afterwards.

To be continued with my experiences here...........

He had terminal lung cancer. My grandmother had died of stomach cancer and he had been sick for some time and didn't want to completely waste away like she did. That and having others do the most mundane things for him. He was always the type that if he couldn't do something, it didn't need to be done. So, he could pull the trigger without help, so he did it. I think he used the tub so the mess could be cleaned up fairly easily.

Freak's story of the stuffed animal almost makes your hair stand on end. Reminds me of the movie Poltergeist & the clown. PP your experiences visited on anyone else would probably have them running down the street screaming. You & your wife must have nerves of steel.

I rented a house about 6 years ago. As I usually do because I'm a clean freak. I was washing down all the cabinets in the kitchen. The rag turned red with what I thought was some kind of spaghetti sauce. Looking closer I realized there were red splatters all over the cabinets & shutters. I just thought something on the stove must have boiled over & started splattering. Whatever.......we moved in.

The ex boyfriends sister moved in a short time later. I went to the store one day & asked Brandy (I'll call her that because that's her name hehe) to watch my youngest son, who was sleeping, while I was gone. When I came back the back door was wide open. I was kinda freaked about this & rushed in to find her standing in the kitchen shaking her ass off & crying. She said a short time after I left she heard footsteps in the kitchen. Thinking it was me she ingored it. Then she heard them again a few minutes later. Going to see who was in there she saw a figure running down the basement steps. That's about when I pulled up & saw the door open. When she told me, I grabbed a big knife & went down into the basement, because that's how I am, kinda stupid. There was no one in there, but the door that led to the outside was open, but the burglar bars were dead bolted shut.

A few weeks later, talking to the next door neighbor, he told me that the couple that lived in there before we moved in got into a domestic argument & the husband shot the wife in the kitchen. She died of a gunshot wound to the head. Pissed me off cause the landlord could've let me know this before I freaking moved in. I freaked cause I was washing the damned blood off the freaking cabinets. :nolike: I moved out a short time later anyway & have been here ever since.

I went through a stage when I was about 10 where I'd hold seances with all my friends & try to contact spirits, & had a very scary experience once. We were using crystals to contact "the other side" & although we couldn't see anything, we could all feel this weird presence all around the room. Whatever or whoever it was, it was pretty nasty. We all freaked out completely and ended up telling my parents, who put all the crystals in a vegemite jar and placed a Bible over it! Eventually the presence went away, but it was pretty scary for a group of little kids.

In recent years, I had a friend who died in tragic circumstances, and I believe that he is with me every day. It's a really comforting feeling for me to know he's still around.:)

Ooooh, I do believe. My mom used to tell us stories about a house she lived in when she was little, in Kirkfield, Ontario. Apparently, the man who had owned the house previously drowned in the Trent Canal, which ran right beside the house. Anyway, every day, the door leading from the kitchen to the living room would open at a certain time. My grandma even tried pushing a big chair up against it, but it would open nonetheless, pushing the chair away effortlessly. It had them so scared, they would go and stand at the road, waiting for my grandpa to come home. She told me other stories about that house; I don't remember them all, but I'll ask my sister if she remembers.
This house I live in now, is the house I grew up in. I inherited it. My dad bought it in 1952. He passed away in 1997, while I was away from home, and I do believe crackheads had scared him to death. I came home and found him gone, and for a long time, I felt his presence. Not just that, I could hear him saying my name. As well as my mother saying my name (she passed away 6 1/2 months prior). I had a friend here doing some work, and he and I were nowhere near each other, I was in the kitchen, he in the living room, and he distinctly felt someone tapping him on the shoulder. Freaked him right out, til I said it was just my dad, saying he was doing a good job.
Other things: I have found things missing, or moved. My keys will go missing, and I will find them at the same time I find out there was an accident I may have been in, had I left when I wanted to.
Things disappear, then reappear in different parts of the house, things my cats can't move. (Well, the cats steal my socks and underwear, but explain why my calculator disappeared from my desk and wound up on a dresser upstairs)
As well, just after my mom passed away, (and she passed away in a hospital) my sister was looking for pictures to post on a memory board, and she couldn't find the ones she wanted. She was not drinking, but frustrated, she went to bed. When she got up the next morning, there on the coffee table were the pictures she wanted. They have had things go missing and reappear somewhere else as well. She lives about 20 miles from me.
I don't worry or fret about any of this. Probably more I could add. But it is all true. And I believe Freak, that has happened here as well. The good thing is that they are friendly or playful ghosts and I am not scared.
I do remember years ago, my dad was cleaning a drain in the basement (before I was born, they told me about it later) and he found a knife. It was a big topic of conversation and speculation, and whenever he'd clean the drain when I got older, I was expecting him to pull out a head or a body part. I still have the knife he pulled out of there, but it's in the backyard. It eventually gave me the creeps. Enough that I've put it in several garbage bags, and it still winds up on the back step. At least it hasn't found it's way back into the house.

Oooh yeah, Chuka, did you do the levitation thing? I went to a party when I was 12 or 13, we had a seance but it was a bust, too many people laughing, but the levitation worked. It was so cool! Oh, I'll never forget it. It was aces!
We all concentrated really hard, and we had candles burning. We all tried at first to lift the person, it was impossible. Then we were chanting something (I can't remember what, it's been like 35 years ago) and we tried again, and we could do it. I was so freaked out, and trying not to break my concentration at the same time, it was unbelievable. No, she didn't levitate by herself (least I don't think) but it was like she had. Absolutely weightless. It was so freaky, but you had to keep your calm.
I haven't talked to her in years, I should try to look her up. She was my best friend at the time. :D

U.K. Castle Cameras Catch Ghostly Visitor (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/ghostly_goings_on)
By JACK GARLAND, Associated Press Writer

LONDON - Are there ghostly goings-on at Henry VIII's palace, or is that hazy image of a fellow in fancy robes just a bit of Christmas cheer?

Closed-circuit security cameras at Hampton Court Palace, the huge Tudor castle outside London, seem to have snagged an ethereal visitor. Could it be a ghost?

"We're baffled too — it's not a joke, we haven't manufactured it," said Vikki Wood, a Hampton Court spokeswoman, when asked if the photo the palace released was a Christmas hoax. "We genuinely don't know who it is or what it is."

Wood said security guards had seen the figure in closed-circuit television footage after checking it to see who kept leaving open one of the palace's fire doors.

In the still photograph, the figure of a man in a robe-like garment is shown stepping from the shadowy doorway, one arm reaching out for the door handle.

The area around the man is somewhat blurred, and his face appears unnaturally white compared with his outstretched hand.

"It was incredibly spooky because the face just didn't look human," said James Faukes, one of the palace security guards.

"My first reaction was that someone was having a laugh, so I asked my colleagues to take a look. We spoke to our costumed guides, but they don't own a costume like that worn by the figure. It is actually quite unnerving," Faukes said.

The palace, built in 1525 on the River Thames 10 miles west of central London, is a popular tourist attraction and some of the guides wear costumes of the Tudor period.

Wood said she was hoping people would come forward with similar stories and try to explain the figure.

The palace has been the scene of many dramatic royal events, and already is supposed to have a few ghosts.

King Henry VIII's third wife, Jane Seymour, died there giving birth to a son, and her ghost is said to walk through one of the cobbled courtyards carrying a candle.

Her son, Edward, had a nurse called Sibell Penn who was buried in the palace grounds in 1562. In 1829 her tomb was disturbed by building work, and around the same time an odd whirring noise began to be heard in the southwest wing of the palace. When workmen traced the strange sounds to a brick wall, they uncovered a small forgotten room containing an old spinning wheel, just like the one Penn used to use.

Henry's fifth wife, Catherine Howard, condemned for adultery, was held at the palace under house arrest before her execution at the Tower of London. An 1897 book about the palace says she was reportedly seen, dressed in white and floating down one of the galleries uttering unearthly shrieks.

The palace was once a prison for King Charles I, who later was beheaded, and then home to his nemesis Oliver Cromwell, who briefly ruled when Britain was for a short time a republic.

Basically the airship is a square frame made with balsa wood over which you stick tissue paper.Like model aeroplane materials.make the whole thing as light as possible and as big as you can.His were about 3 feet across. It depends on your materials a bit.Anyway so you have a tissue paper covered cube with the bottom open, then get some really light tie wire from each corner to hold the burner below. Not too close or the flame will ignite the tissue paper. He reckons the best burner is just part of a disposable nappy(deiper).Apparently Hannas are the best but you might just have to buy your own..Might need to experiment with size to make sure its not too heavy(not a used one).
They fly best in cold air with virtually no wind. There is a significant hazard of starting a fire if they land in the wrong spot. One of his only made it as far as the neighbours place and left a fire with six foot flames outside their window.Another one hit the power line and deposited burning plastic all over the street.
So have fun and it is imperative that you provide me with a report.I love this kind off shit.:D

Several years ago this house had a lot of weird things going on, even before I moved in.

You could hear several people talking, like at a party, but you couldn't make out any of the words. It was like the volume was turned way down. That only happened after going to bed.

Another was a closet door held shut by magnets, except the magnets would stop working and the door would swing open against the normal way it wanted to close. ie:It would always swing shut if you left it alone.

One time a large ball of masking tape flew from behind the TV across the room. We don't know how the ball got to be in existance.

Another time a strip of paper was dancing on my wife's head.

Another was a green bean my wife was holding in a spoon, letting it cool to see if they were done. The bean vanished while I was standing there. Just "poof!"

Things rearranged themselves.

I came home from work one day and my guitar was resting with the headstock against a couch cushion and the strap was sticking straight out from it at the bottom. The guitar hadn't been in the living room.

I was leaving the garage into the house one night and distinctly heard my grandfather say my name. I stopped and asked what he wanted but got no reply. I told him to get out and then never heard him again.

I had just laid down one night, on my stomach, when something started pushing me into the mattress. I could feel hands on my back and was having trouble breathing. I cocked my head and could see a dark silhouette of something, or someone, at the foot of the bed holding my feet as the other was trying to kill me. I couldn't speak anything but in my mind I screamed, "In the name of God, leave me alone!" Well, that pissed it off. I saw a black city implode, everything was shaking and the "thing" let out a shrilling cry before subsiding and leaving me to rest. Rest hell, I was hyper-ventilating! They never came back.

Fortunately, nothing has happened since the kids were born.

BTW, my grandfather shot himself in this house. He climbed into the bath tub with a 12 gauge and let loose. He left a note saying he didn't want to leave a mess.

wow! Pete i dont know how you can live in there.

My dad had a huge property up in the mountains, on the outskirts of Sydney town. Lots of creepy paranormal stuff happening since he took himself out 3 months ago.

My brother is up there at the moment and he rings me at 1am to tell me the latest weird stuff. For instance the shed lights (about 6 shed), where my father loved to work, go on all the time in the middle of the night. :worry:

I smell him here all da time. Its exhausting stuff.

"In the name of God, leave me alone!" Well, that pissed it off. Calling on the name of Jesus always helps. There's a lot of Obeah (voodoo witchcraft) going on here on the island too. Just call on Jesus. It sounds like someone in Pete's house read the Lost Books of Moses. I heard similar things happen to people that read those books in their place. People sitting on their backs and stuff.

DMS - when I was in the Bahamas there was a woman at the Lucya Market Place, by the Marina and all the shops, bars and restaurants....she was dressed as a clown and porclaimed to be God's clown.....this woman loved me, we talked for about a half an hour.....she'll keep the voodoo out of your island!

ok, my story

I used to work for a cleaning company while I was in college.....we worked mostly in schools and stripped floors and waxed them in the summer and maintained them during the school year. I worked in just about every school in my town at one point or another. We usually went into work around 3pm when all the kids were out, some teachers lingered around but by 4pm the place was usually cleared out.

This one school I worked at was rumored to be haunted...it was an elementary school and the story goes that some girl who died while attending that school walked the halls and whatnot......whatever, right?? I don't believe this stuff.....anyway

This one particular afternoon, the school was absolutley empty, I used to make sure by checking the lot for cars and all the rooms because I would go to the music room and crank the stereo they had to listen to toons as I worked. Well, I walk into the bathroom to clean it and I am sweeping around and all of a sudden the toilet flushes.......not once, but several times....and not the same one each time, there were about 6 or 7 in that bathroom.......now I am freaking.......so to freak me out more....one of the faucets on the sink start spewing water from it..........now I am really spooked......but, no blood no foul...so what am I to be affraid of.

Other time while working in the school, there was this one spot in the hallway, it was no where near a door orwindow...and it was always cold in thsi spot, and their was no A/C in this school.....and you smell perfume in that spot to.

Other times doors to classrooms would slam shut and I used to lock them into place on the door stopper after I cleaned them.

I still can't say what the hell happened, but it was very strange...I never saw any images or anything but I saw what happened in front of me.

There was a pair of women who used to work for my company too, and they used to clean that school before me and we shared similar stories, they witnessed furniture sliding around a room one day.

BOO!

I used to work at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff Alberta. They had lots of ghosts. One was a woman who died on her wedding day when she tripped on her gown and fell down the stairs outside the ballroom. Sometimes people see her in her wedding dress waltzing in the ballroom - alone.

Another is Sam, who was a bellhop for his whole life at the hotel. On his deathbed he promised he would come back to help once in a while. Bags disappear from the bellhop area and mysteriously reappear in the guests room, all laid out. The thing is, they stopped unpacking for guests not long after Sam died. Also, there have been guests who come down to the front desk to praise what great service they got from the kind old bell hop in the red uniform who brought thier bags in and wouldn't accept a tip no matter what. The hotel bellhops haven't used red uniforms in years. Because of Sam's example bellhops aren't allowed to take tips at that hotel, so they get paid lots instead.

This is a huge hotel, 1000 guest rooms, and its been added on to over the years since 1888 so its like a maze with all sorts of cool little rooms and halls. It was built to look like a scottish castle. My job was a runner for a while there, and I had like thirty master keys on my keychain. I was looking in attics, and closets that nobody had opened in years, and just generaly exploring and goofing off whenever it was a slow day. One day I found this little room on the 9th floor. In the old days rooms on that side of the hotel were staff quarters because the other side of the hotel had the fantastic views. It had a rack of old red uniforms, a neatly made bed, an antique sink, and a bottle of really good, really old port wine on the bedside table. Everything was covered in like an inch of dust, I guessed nobody had been in there in five years at least. I told one of the old timers about it and he said it was Sams room I had found, which had been preserved for posterity. I'm glad I didn't disturb the port wine which had been left there for Sam by the hotel management.

In the eighties a whacko killed his family and himself on the 8th floor. His youngest was just a baby. Apparently the ghost of his wife is fascinated by babies and has been seen hovering over cribs. They demolished the room where it happened and made the rooms on either side bigger. They don't rent either of those rooms to pregnant women, or women with babies anymore, but people come to the hotel to stay in that room because they want to see a ghost.

Best job ever.

I know, it all sounds fanciful but these things, and more, have happened here. My brother brought his 1969 SS-427 Camero over here in 1972 to do some minor engine work and wound up disassembling it. He refused, without explaination, to put it back together for 9 years years. After I moved here, in 1979, I forced him to rebuild it or sell it. I offered to buy it but he wouldn't sell it to me. He sold it two years later for $800. :what: .

Did she touch your head? If she did go see a preacher. A catholic one preferably. She has spirits. I shit you not. :worry:

Anyway let me add one too. I have many obeah stories about people getting stuck in the graveyard and coffins poppin open at funerals but I wont go there today. This one happened about 4 years ago. I had to go to the other side of the island, West End, it's about an hour or so drive tru a coastal area, very vague and nobody there for miles. It was about 10 pm I guess, very dark no streetlights, just my head lights, anyway, as I was driving I see these people walking on the opposite side of the road. I check coz thats what you do here, maybe they need a ride or their car broke down, so I slow down, and the weird thing was, they were dressed as in the 1800's, really old clothes, with the pirate shirt heh they didnt look up or nothing they just kept walking. Kinda freaked out I accelerated back to normal speed, hurried up to West End. Later when I talked about it they all laughed and went like oh that, they told me that those people where these old slaves that people see walking along the road at night now and then. It's seems to be part of the local scenery over there. I heard they have them too in Andros. I didnt see them again though.

I don't know if these really qualify but here goes.

1. When I was young I was setting at home alone watching Fantastic Theater (late night horror show) when I heard some one call my name very distinctly. Went outside and there was no one there or around the house.

2. Years later one rainy spring morning about 2 am I was awakened from a deep sleep by the sound of a crash and some one calling for help. I listened out the window for about two minutes heard nothing then all of a sudden I heard something heavy hitting a solid object and then some one calling for help. I got up and went outside and up the street to the main drag where a trash pickup service truck had hit the sign post for the shoe store he was trying to pick up trash at. the driver was pinned inside so I ran back and called the fire dept. to come up and get him out.

3. When I lived in Texas my first wife ( whose name I choose not to remember) and I were heading back to Dallas down hi-way 69 and as we crossed into Denton I realised I didn't remember anything of the road trip from the turn off from I-40 till Denton (about an hour )

4. Lastly when I was in Clarendon House in England I could feel a pressure between the eyes like some one pressing their thumb. when asked if we felt any spirits I said it was probably just the spirit of John bull ( English beer) but when we left I turned and snapped a picture of the front of the house and when the pictures came back you could see a face in the bushes kinda glowing blue. Also the pressure was gone when we got back on the bus.

My sister once was had some weird shit happen. Her husband was in the hospital, and she was home alone. She went to sleep, only to wake up in the middle of the night hearing banging noises. She woke up and turned on the light. She says her night stand drawer was sliding in and out. Slamming shut and then jumping open. She watched for a few seconds and then her bedroom door slammed shut, and the drawer flew across the room and smacked into the wall.

She of course, screamed, jumped out of bed, ran to the other room and called her daughter. My nieces husband drove over and saw the drawer laying against the wall across the room. He and Lois sat up all night. She spent the rest of the week at her daughters house.

Nothing else ever happened after that.
