The scoring format is without the line,(heads up), & points received are figured off the percentage of players taking each side. For instance, if 70% take the favorite, but you take the dog & it wins, you get 70 points, whereas had you taken the favorite & they won, you would have gotten 30 pts.
Dammit, this is firewalled at work. (until the big red fans realize they can't get in, anyway) I am in, but it will have to be next week, as i am off on vacation right from work.:sure:

I went 8-7, but only managed to collect 136 pts which put me in the impressive 2.9 percentile :hehe:
But hey, if I still have a shot at finishing on top then so does everybody who wanted to get in but didn't. Sign up today because if my percentage holds up, I'll need about 95 other people to join before I'm ahead of the poor smuck on the bottom.
Congrats to the rest of the group who averaged in the 70 something percentile, especially to our 1st week leader Sideout.

I think the Huskers should put Lord as running back, with Daily as QB. It would geive them a balanced attack. Too bad Penn States D couldn't stop the run...
Anyone watch the finish of the FSU game? Even though they won, those last few calls by the officials seemed kind of shady, FSU could have been robbed.
Rguess, our teams lost because they were playing a top 25 team....no, that's not it...It must be because they were away games....no, not that either. Well, that's ok, because all the other big 12 teams lost too. Well, except for Kansas, Missouri, Baylor, Kansas State, Oklahomo, Okie State, and Nebraska.

Nice picken' Rguess, I can't believe you managed to only miss three on a messed up weekend like that
Of course you and Freak were the only ones smart enough to pick against Texas ;)
There were so many shoulda, coulda beens on saturday...Florida St. should have lost that game. Ohio St. should have lost that game (who the heck still has them that high in the polls...what's up with that?)
On the positive side, Michigan State did lose, which is always nice.
And somebody please tape Regis for me so I can see him while he's wearing his Michigan jersey and trying to talk his way out of the complete Big House Ass-Whupping that ND took.

Speaking of posers...I just heard that the projected BCS standings will have Ohio State jumping ahead of USC to number 2...how screwed up is that? Not that it will matter next week ;)

So..... USC is No. 1 in the AP & USA Today polls. USC plays Michigan in the Rose Bowl. Does that mean if we beat USC we're No. 1? Do we really have to pay attention to the BCS?
The Joe Thiesman was right when he said they need to take the "C" out of BCS. Just wait, after the Sugar Bowl you'll gonna hear screams for co-champions this year. Exactly what the BCS was supposed to prevent.
Sideout
12-08-03, 06:39 AM
Yep...The coachs' poll has to vote the Sugar Bowl winner as the National Champion...BUT, the AP poll can vote for whoever the heck they want to...so who knows. Hey, maybe if they get started real quick, the nebraska lobbyists can get them a share of this one too ;)
Actually, screw the BCS...things are right in the world...Rose Bowl, granddaddy of them all, Big Ten Champ vs Pac Ten Champ, likely National Championship implications...aaaaah, just like the good ole days

You should know by now that I'd root for anybody against Oklahoma (except for any team from Florida).
As far as the BCS goes, there are three good teams, unfortunately only two of them can go to the big game. That's just the way it is, and it's no different than it was before BCS. Recall there were disputed 'co-champs' before BCS too. Anyhow, it won't be an issue after USC dumps the game to Michigan.

So you're not gonna watch the Orange Bowl, eh? I'm just saying that yeah, we had that problem before the BCS and now we have that problem with the BCS...so why do we need the BCS? If all the coaches and all the writers can all agree on a number one team, why is that so bad? And when they disagree (even for the wrong reasons  ) we have co-champs. I don't really mind the BCS, I don't think OU, USC, or LSU have played any real opponents this year, so I don't really care who goes and plays...but my problem with the BCS is they "quality win" part...how you can beat a top team late in the year and it doesn't help you any because you beating them makes them a lower team...who came up with that?
Oh well...GO BLUE
PS...that reminds me of something...
