I need some help....

anyone have any idea how to get ahold of the decks log?
Or ships log? I need to document an event that involved a shipmate 30 years ago. He was badly burned, the VA claims the deck log has no record of the event. Any one who was in sickbay, or maybe a chopper pilot, someone with some inside info or ideas would be great. Also, how do I read any replies.....I can barely spell kumpute...

The only burns I remember was some poor guy that had a pot of coffee dumped on him, and someone working on a scullery (dishwasher). Midway was dangerous.
