View Full Version : Are You a Cat or Dog Lover?

Personally,I enjoy having both a cat and a dog for a pet. Albeit, most people prefer dogs over cats. Understandable, dogs are loyal, ever glad to greet you, trainable, and eager to please their master. Cats,on the other hand, are very independant and unless there is food involved, will not distinguise you from soo much cat shit on your lawn.
Then again, ever gone to the dog's house? Dammmnnn.....the moment I get there,I get very depressed. I somehow feel like possibly I might have done something wrong and my self esteame hits an all time low. I just can't wait to leave.
This where the big difference lies. Every time I have gone to a cat's house........I have felt welcomed and glad to be there. Fact is......I feel soo good I don't ever want to leave. Think about it. There isn't a week that goes by that you don't read about some dog mauling the hell out of somebody. Yet.....have you ever read about a little pussy ever hurtin anyone?

i like cats because they practically take care of themselves. had i a dog, it probably would have died of neglect.

Dead cats hey?

Well at least they don't bite or scratch you.

I love dogs - really love them. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Cassie - who will be 10 this year and is deaf! She is so loyal and we love her to death.

I live in a house with another dog, a chubby little saugsage dog named Misty who is almost human and I love her unconditionally.

We have always had dogs in my family - don't know what I'd do without them.

I'm a cat person.... :)

I have two, Vincent and Phoenix. Vinnie is a fluffy ginger tom rough and tough, a real city cat. Phoenix is a very pretty grey female, a real princess. :D

I love all animals...they're interesting.
We've got 17 cats (mostly animal aide fosters) and 1 cattle dog. (plus other assorted critters)
Cats are cool...I like the way they do their own thing but they're there for a cuddle too.
Dogs are fun and dependable...I like that they are always by your side and you can take them everywhere with you.

Cats make good earmuffs too. Now that winter is coming around, they're gonna come in handy.

as you can see by my username i am a great cat lover. they are the most beautiful creatures on the planet as far as i'm concerned. i love them to death. so beautiful, gorgeous and perfect in every way. i have 3 of them, pickachu, a beautiful ginger and white long haired tom, marmalade, a short haired ginger male, and gypsycat, a gorgeous white chinchilla, she looks exactly like kimmys cat (i think it was kimmy who posted the pic in another thread)..i like dogs aswell. ive got a cute little miniature silky maltese cross terrier and a part jack russell aswell. i love having dogs so you can take them for walkies and all, but man, they are a lot more having to take care of than cats, and only today the jack russell tore up one of my good sheridan sheets and ripped the mattress on a brand new bed...but i still love em to bits anyways!!
and all you mean people saying awful things about cats! Shame on you!!!

I'd take it in a heartbeat if I knew for sure it wouldn't eat my kids for breakfast.

They're saying the tiger was protecting Roy, Laurie. The story now is that the tiger was spooked by a woman in the audience with big hair and Roy positioned himself to block her. He slipped slightly and the tiger was protecting him.

Regardless of the story they're putting out now, it's still his biggest nightmare - he was eaten by a giant pussy.:baa:

Interesting, Gops... most men wouldn't call that a nightmare.. that would be a wet dream.

But..then again there was Isis...an Irish Setter who befriended me at the break of dawn in Vancouver, BC. While driving the streets of downtown Vancouver looking for a bridge to take me back to my new neighborhood (just moved there), I came upon this bedraggled looking oily covered 4 legged creature of somekind. The passeneger window was down and the streets were bare..I said.."what the hey are you supposed to be with your dirty self..do tell?" No sooner had the words escaped my lips when my nose was assaulted by the smell of rotting fish life of some sort. This beast had managed to jump through said passenger window and plop his hiney on the seat next to me..all the while covering me with wet..icky dog kisses that chained my heart right there and then (yes I was hooked). In hindsight I could've left those streets hooked on something alot harder than him I tell ya. The rest as they say "Was music to my ears." Thought I was gonna say 'the rest was history' eh..;O)

He passed in 91 and I miss him like crazy I do..so I am a dog person too...and in hindsight (again), I don't think the question is fair. :P

Isis...making sure all was well in his world.

His toes were adorable too..maybe this 'toe' thing is a sign of some latent foot fetish I have lingering within....ick..oh no, be still my heart.

(Edited..because that's what I seem to do best these days).

Roy's doing OK, but seems to be going through some sort of man-tiger metamorphosis due to the tiger bite. Apparently it was a some sort of "Were-Tiger" that bit him!

...weird. :what:

Nice pics, Lill. I'm a cat person, too. I have 9, including the "real" crazy deaf cat I rescued after he was run over by a pr**k from down the street.
Same pr**k had 4 flat tires the next morning.
Had a pit bull pup once too, but the ex gave him away. The puppy kept outsmarting him. :hehe:
