Anyone else have this yet? I bought it on friday night, and I can't get anything else done. I installed it, which was pretty smooth, as many newer games are these days. The graphics defualt to a pretty low level, after a little tweaking, I had it looking great, although I was expecting better. After MOH and other games, the characters in Vice City are rather blocky. Clipping occurs quite often as well.
I haven't completed any real missions yet, It has been too fun going around jacking evryone. once that wears off, I will start the game "for real".
One thing to note, if you steal a fast car, it is kind of hard to control with the keyboard, and if you use a gamepad or joystick, it is kind of hard to control when walking. I remapped the controls to my liking and started playing. I think It just a problem with my set up though.
The best thing so far is the sounds/voices. Ray liotta is the voice of the main character, and there are other well known people as well. I havent heard the voice of the porn star, but I think it is Jenna Jameson.
A really cool feature is the music. When you take a car and get in, the radio is playing. Depending on what station the previou driver was listening, you could jack a car and find yourself listening to David Lee Roth, Twisted Sister, or even Blondie, or Flock of Seagulls. There are some big name bands in this game.
One of my favorie things is stealing cars and taking people out. So I am sick, whatever. Not since Carmageddon came out back in '95 or so have I had so much fun driving in a PC game. I kind of wish you got cash in this game for doing it.
Of course, the AI needs some improving, but that is expected. You can literally beat someone to death with a cop fairly close, and get away with it.
So far, this game has my attention, and like I said, I haven't really started out with any missions yet.
Oh, and don't worry, this won't cause me to go out cop killing, car jacking, or mugging, like some people think.
By the way, I can go into a bar and not get carded, but when I bought this, she had to see my ID because it is rated "M".
