I'm thinking of having a rotating banner on Bressler.org, so it would be a little different every time you visited.

Have a go if you like.

1. Still want to be able to read the "Bressler.org".
2. The "Sacramento, CA" is not critical.
3. Should be close to the same color scheme, exactly the same dimensions and close to the same size (maybe up to 20kb).

Current Size: 4.3kb
Dimensions: 547 x 70 pixels

Well, the file is a little large, but if I try to compress it any more, it degrades too much to be worth diddly.

Yeah these are a wee bit larger than 10kb too, but it degraded them too much to go any smaller.

I doubled it to around 20K. I just usually try to make up for my sloppy ASP programming by using really small images.

Good stuff. I like some of the phrases too. I might need to brighten up the colors on some a bit though.

I can't seem to find the original *.psd or *.png to work with. If I do I'll post it.

I 'm still having connection problems because of the @home debacle, I can't even see any of Barb's posts and some pictures from other threads. When I get online I have about 10 minutes to surf and then for some reason I end up with no domain name resolution at all (which means I have a connection but I can't get anywhere with it). I'm seriously going f***ing nuts.

Awesome. I'll have to get the rotation going soon.

The original was done in Fireworks. I found a PNG file, which might be of use to any program that can read the separate layers.

Also, the "Boost" font! For anyone who likes it. It's been my favorite for 3-4 years. I think every version of Bressler.org has had Boost somewhere on the home page.

JB$, that link to mast 13 is no good, page not found. Will Photoshop read your .png file? I have not used Fireworks.

It should be there now. I know you can open it in Photoshop 6, but it doesn't import 100% accurately.

Implemented a dozen of these for the Forum to test. Let me know if it slows things down too much.

I want to use some of yours too Warthog, but I think I can brighten them up a bit by using the original. Also, I can then save them as a GIF and they'll be about half the size.

I may use Shotglass's Christmas one, by itself, on the front page for all of December.

You shouldn't have to do anything, however...

You can try to clean out your browser cache, and refresh (which is something you should do regularly anyway). I never said anything about cookies.
