LOS ANGELES, JAN 23 2002 - Heavily armed with high-powered machine guns, shot guns, and hand guns, the FBI, Secret Service, and Los Angeles Police Department sorounded the founder of raisethefist.com in his house. The founder was currently asleep, woken up by a relative who said fbi, police and undercover's were currently up and down all of the streets, with they're eyes focused on the premises. Raisethefist.com founder aproached the door were 2 FBI agents demanded that he step outside. Within seconds a swarm of FBI raided the house with automatic weapons and shot guns. Additional police and fbi also stayed on the front lawn, around the house with a door baracade and additional weapons. "armed and ready".

FBI and secret service entered the house, seizing all servers and political liturature. Raisethefist.com was currently being ran within the founders room of the house, over a computer network. The room was literarly ransacked, and all equipment, disks, cd's .. etc. were boxed up, loaded into a truck and seized until further notice.

Since 1999, raisethefist.com has been under extensive government monitering. At times, Raisethefist.com has recieved over 100 hits from the U.S Department of Defense in a single day. The FBI, police department, NSA (and who else) continuesly monitered the site on a daily basis. Even government's from the UK, Canada, Lavtia, Belgium, Egypt, Finland, and Australia monitered the site continuesly. The FBI had also previously intercepted all packets going through the DSL line hosting the site, and have seized additional accounts being used by the site.

In yet another successfull attempt to silence our vioces, Raisethefist.com, an anarchist/activist independent media/collective has been shut down by the secret service.

"It's not yet known at this point if the site will be back up. As of now, we have nothing. No more servers, no more network, nothing. My room remains completly ransacked. My neighbors remain shaken up by what happend. I most likely won't be getting any of the equipment back. They also took alot of my political litature. Apparently, they're excuse for shutting it down was the 'militancy' portrayed on the site. This is not true. This was an excuse. This same 'militancy' they were concerned about is portrayed on at least a thousand other web sites across the internet, and they havn't been touched by the federal government, with the exception for remote monitering. Raisethefist.com was progresive. It was going somewhere. Kids started creating clubs in their schools called 'RaisetheFist'. People started utilizing the collective as a powerful resource for the activist/anarchist community. The federal government has been investigating me, and the site very closely, long before 9-11, and long before such militancy was even portrayed on the site. They knew the site had potential, that it was turning into something more than a site, but a strong collective utilized by activists throughout the world committed to social justice. And that's become a crime. Justice has become a crime. Freedom has become a crime. Anyone activly disagreeing with policies of the U.S is now automaticly rendered a "terrorist" in the eyes of national security.... Where raisethefist.com will go from here, I don't know. Based on what i've been told, i'll most likely be in jail, so most of my focus will be towards getting an attorney."

Remember Elian?

Yeah, I remember Elian!

Damn good thing he got to go back to his father instead of those crazy relatives in Miami. He and his family lives pretty well now in Cooba.

Keep in mind Elian wasn't a US citizen either.

I agree it is good to be an American. He'd probably have his scrotum hooked up to a power outlet if he tried to operate this kind of a site in Cuba.

LOL! Scrotum electrocution rocks!

Excellent point though...

All the same, there's pros and cons to living in Cuba just as there are pros and cons to living in the US. As a father i believe that he had first say over how and where his son would live. What's interesting... is that which ever country they had chosen they would of had a life of "luxury". I think ultimately juan chose cuba because of the freakiness of the cuban americans. they're their own worse enemy.

I believe his father should make the decision also. So why did his father let Castro make the decision? You seem to forget that when a child is born in Cuba, he becomes the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STATE. Regardless of what he wanted, and we will never know the truth, if the father stated he wanted Elian to stay in the US, he would have spent the rest of his life in the Cuban fun house, being "re-trained".

Raisethefist.com vs. the Branch Davidians.

At least under Bush, the women and children aren't burned alive by the government like with Clinton/Reno. Accountability rocks, and it's nice to have some again.

I agree.. accountability is good but I have to disagree that Bush and his cronies will provide anymore than Clinton and his hermorphrodites.

All the same, isn't it time that we make it known that we won't stand for ANY administration using armed force against it's citizens?

Then why do liberals just LOVE Castro?

As an Australian who watches the American news, and who has read a lot
about atrocities brought about by the American Government,[ which i wont get into, or i'll be typing for weeks]
I have just one thing to say "i wouldn't be an American for anything". This has nothing to do with YOU the citizen, just your present, and past Governments, mainly past......

Auff, saying that liberals love Castro is a generalization and has nothing to do with the point. This is about America.

The more important issue which is why should we as Americans allow any of our officials to use the power of the state to surpress us.

See Auff, a true patriot stands up for the rights of the common citizen. This means protecting and defending citizens irregardless of their party affiliation as well as standing up to the government.. irregardless of it's party affiliations.

Believe it or not... if a government entity was intent on harming you Auff, I would stand by your side and help to defend you.

What would you do Auff if you were put into a situation where you could help another American citizen and that citizen happened to be the biggest liberal in the land. Would you stand aside?

To even ask such a question shows you have made some very incorrect assumptions about me. Bad form, Eddy.

Yeah, you're right... it was bad form.

I'm sorry that I assumed you would help the liberal in his/her time of need. :P

It was defintely meant as 'toung in cheek". I know you're as normal as any other regular on Bressler.org. I'll be honest Auff, sometimes your responses have caught me with "no way, he can't really mean that!" and trust me.. I totally appreciate your Never say die attitude to arguing a topic to the death. It makes it all pretty fun.

Dursie, you have a complete lack of understanding of the US. Try reading the preamble of our Constitution to learn why we have our attitude. Are we perfect? Not quite. And we’ve made some terrific blunders (like electing Clinton- twice). And we have come pretty friggin’ close to destroying ourselves (Civil War, Al Gore). But we have made toughed it out and survived. We have saved Europe’s sorry arses twice, not counting the Cold War.

Will terrorism ever strike your beloved homeland? Probably not anytime soon. You see, lunatics always go after 1) someone convenient and weak, or, if they are truly insane, 2) the big man that stands up for the former.

Australia is not a target because you are too friggin’ far away. But if you do get attacked, we’ll be there with our aircraft carriers, Stealth, AWACs, Predators, Black Hawks, B52’s, and of course, our Nation’s best, to save your sorry auhrses. And you’ll be glad we like you. And just like the friggin’ French, your women will be flocking after us.

Dursie I'm sure the aborigines are thrilled that Aussies never commit atrocities or involve themselves in distasteful things such as genocide. All I can say is I am glad I am not an Australian.

Wait wasn't Australia a penal colony?
