I've been offline for a few days but I've heard that there are some people who lost family in the Sept 11th attack and they're planning on suing the airlines and others.

What's the story on this? Are these people unhappy with the amount of donations that millions of people in America have given to the survivors?

I've also heard that many of the fire fighters and police who worked tirelessly for days to find survivors in the rubble of the WTC are now experiencing health problems and some are talking about filing suit against NYC for not providing proper breathing apperatus.

So.. what's the story on all of this? Anyone have further details?

I'm not surprised that no one has touched this question with a ten foot pole http://bushwhacked.net/ubb/wink.gif

I'm now waiting for some of the families of the firemen and policement that died when the towers collapsed to file suits against the city and airlines, etc...

Makes me wonder what our soldiers are over in Afghanistan are fighting for... maybe just a bunch of greedy and self absorbed people.

Eddy, most people will do anything for a buck.

Perhaps I should sue bressler.org. It's just one more damn thing I'm addicted to. http://bushwhacked.net/ubb/wink.gif

True it does seem that those who lost relatives and friends are getting very greedy. I recall reading an article where those affected by the Oklahoma city bombing are getting bitter because they feel left out. And are angry that those in NYC are going to get more money. Amazing how quickly people return to their normal selves.

I think they should sue Billy Bob Clinton. He could have got bin Laden, but was too much of a coward.

I reckon the families of those killed in the September the 11th attack should sue the American government. It is the American Government, but mainly past Governments who interfered, schemed, and plotted in the affairs of many Middle Eastern Countries, which has brought about so much hatred towards the American people, who are innocent, but are the targets of these Terrorists.
The CIA has been sticking their noses into the Middle East for many decades. The CIA has been arming these countries for years, only to have these Countries turn the arms on their benefactors.
America has been training the wrong types of people for years, here is part of a page from a website which documents these facts:::---A very informative documentary (called "School of the Americas: At War with Democracy?", by the Center for Defense Information, 1994) describes how a US military training school, the School of the Americas, has trained many of the worst human rights violators and dictators in various Latin American countries.

Countries receiving training include Haiti, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. The school is a military training school originally in Panama, now in Georgia, USA, set up and run by USA.

At the School of the Americas (SOA), portraits of the most successful graduates are hung. Some of the worst dictators and human rights abusers in the developing world have passed through the school's doors, including people like Roberto D'Aubisson from El Salvador and Manuel Noriega of Panama.

The main point of the documentary was how the Army maintain that the school was set up to preserve democracy. (Quite ironic and even Orwellian!)

If anyone is interested in finding out more
of what the American Government has been up to in the past, which has helped ruin countries, and has been the cause of teaching torture tactics to Animals, just point your browser at-http://www.globalissues.org/Geopolitics/ArmsTrade/TrainingViolators.asp

Most of America's worst acts are hidden behind the 30 year ban on leaking imformation. Quite frankly America, your Governments have to stop trying to run the world, because the world is very sick of it.
In the Sept 11th attack, twenty odd Australian's were killed, and i hold the American Government responsible, the same ones who were on tv saying "this will not stand", and it was an entirely unprovoked attack, i've written enough, i feel sick to my guts with DISGUST............

yeah, the SOA... $hit... that's one of the more embarrasing institutions that American's have to try and live down. Speaking of American citizens.... quite a few priests and nuns (as well as average Joe American) have been imprisoned for demonstrating in front of the gate of the SOA. What's funny is how each administration has tried to paint the SOA as an instrument of democracy and a tool for establishing stable governemnets in South America. Anyone care to show that they were successful??? South America is still a mess after three decades of SOA spawned alumni... wait... back up... I guess the SOA was a success after all http://bushwhacked.net/ubb/wink.gif

Eddy's Geist, i think if the Gom Jabbar, and the box were used early in the life of American Politicians we wouldn't have many of the problems that we have. I wonder how many of them would pass the test. What we need is a genuine Kwizatz Haderach to clear out the potential Baron Harkonnen's, and the world would be a far better place............................................. ........................

Thanks for the compliment Spaz59! I think if more people called a spade a spade, and said it like it is, we would know where we stood in this world of innuendo, and bullshit. If you understood my last post, the chances are that you are a Dune fan.
"Dune" in my opinion is a literary masterpiece, of which i can't get enough. Frank Herberts sons attempt at keeping the series alive, just didn't manage to make the grade in my opinion, but anyone would be hard pressed to try and match the writing skills of Mr Herbert.

Very true Dursie,

It makes you wonder about politicians in general and what draws someone in to the belief that they have what it takes to govern a group. Of course this doesn't really touch on the "why" they would want to govern over someone in the first place!

I'm leaving out the "will to power" all together as this should be a moot point in a modern society where one's primary focus is to govern out of some sense of charity and personal sacrifice.. yeah right ;)

I guess as long as there are people who want to be led through life their will be a con man who will offer to do the job.

Eddy, I haven't read anything in at least 30 minutes that made as much sense as that post. I applaud you!

Thank You Laurie...

This calls for a moment of silence to mark one of the few times I've ever made sense about anything ;)
