Every once in a while my wife and I come across a subject that makes me wonder if it's a her thing or a woman thing in general because it doesn't make much sense to me.
One hot day I came home with my tie loosened because here in Sacramento you quickly learn that wool suits, ties, and 100+ degree heat are not the greatest combination. Anyway, I found out she loves a guy in a suit with a loosened tie.;)
Afterwards the subject came up and the explanation boiled down to hard-working, goal-oriented guy after hours not so uptight he can't relax when necessary...
I just don't get this. I use it to my advantage, but I don't get it. Is this something that is common?
Even if the specific story is not common, do all of you have this perfect setting guy that gets you going? Just wondering since I'm not understanding.

Oh yeah sweating AND breathing!! And can't forget the uniforms too!!
Nothing turns me on more than a man who cooks for me.
Oh yeah. And all those things Barb mentioned, too. ;)

Does grilling count? I got some stuff ready to go this weekend....some hot dogs, a nice chunk of London broil that's gonna get a mesquite rub, some peppers and carrots, maybe even an ear of corn or two. ;)
I like to think I do 50% of the cooking. I think also think it pays off in spades. ;)

Gops I think you should have your wife take your pictures and put them in the hot or not and let everyone decide. :)
Personally I love looking at a guy with a suit or tux on (off is good too). Why do you think women like the 007 movies? ;)
My wife has some strange fetish with stong hands, a wedding ring and a nice watch on. Weird

No, of course not. :) I am just stating the facts. I like to cook on the grill, and a London broil is the best for it. The specialty shops in Old Town St. Charles have the best rubs and sauces around, and makes the extra effort worth it. The peppers and carrots are to keep the wife from crabbing about my not getting enough vegetables....:(

I don't know if it's hormonal or not, but it reminds me of the way I cried after my son was born. More of a physical reaction than an emotional one.
Gops, I think we need a short video of you coming home with that loosed tie. Just for research, of course. We need to get the whole effect.

Mando, you obviously must know about the old Aussie custom of giving nicnames the meaning of which is the opposite of the phisical attributes of the person in question, for example:
the name "Lofty" is given to short blokes,
"Bluey" is for someone with red hair,
softly spoken folk will be called "Roudy" etc.
So "Tiny" must stand as a compliment!
So, if someone is named Randy in oz, what are they?

I have a guy-thing / girl-thing question.
Why is it that when a guy calls somebody on the cell phone (while driving, of course), his calls are always about 30 to 45 seconds long. Get on, conduct business, hang up.
But when a girl starts using a cell phone (while driving, putting on make-up and eating something -- all at the same time), she stays on the phone until it's time to park the car at the other end of the trip?
Mrs. Nemesis is a perfect example of this (but don't tell her I said this, or I would surely receive the "rolling pin of attitude correction").

By the way, on my way to my office this morning, I saw a woman driving on the freeway . . . eating a bowl of cereal! Yes, bowl in one hand, spoon in the other.
I felt that this was very dangerous. Unlike men, who can use Mr. Johnson to steer if both of their hands hands are otherwise employed, the fairer sex has no such capability.
I couldn't believe it.

I went to Costco today and bought a 3 disc set of Mr. Bean. When I brought it home all my wife could do is roll her eyes. She detests any comedy that is other than serious. I have noticed this as a trend. It seems as though the gals, at least the ones I meet, do not appreciate British humor. Is this true (Barb Excluded) or is it just the gals I have hooked up with?

Kimmy explained it well.
It's more of a physical response than an emotional one.
It's not like I'm thinking in my head, "that was incredible", and cry as a result of the thought. It's more of an overall feeling of extreme satisfaction.
It's a strange feeling.
Women are weird, huh? We are just wired differently than men.

Well personally watching a guy swinging and axe really does it for me...sleeves rolled up is good, or in a singlet..or no shirt at all...and a bit o' sweat.
The whole suit and tie thing just doesn't do it for me...007 erk! way too soft....give me a man working the land any day...or riding a horse...that's hot too.

OK, well, other's may not agree, but here's my theory....
Women are so used to multi-tasking (cleaning the house while cooking dinner while writing the shopping list while listening to their husband talk about his day while planning next weekend's calendar while amusing the child) that to sit in the car and simply drive and listen to the radio is not enough. We must have something more to do that makes us feel as though we are not wasting time.
