If you haven't heard by now... USS MIDWAY IS COMING TO SAN DIEGO!
Midway will not only serve as an elegant and moving tribute to our service men and women, past, present and future. it will also bring a great big economic benefit to our business community.
So, if you have been tracking the developments of Midway, you will be delighted to hear what our marketing studies have revealed:
* We expect to attract more than 600,000 visitors each year!
* Over $20,000,000 will be added annually to the local economy.
* Midway will serve as the anchor tenant for the revitalized North Embarcadero.
*She will provide a great venue for receptions, banquets, galas, and all types of special events.
We're currently planning to begin towing this great ship to San Diego from Bremerton, Washington next spring. She will stop on the way and be spruced up for her debut in San Diego in summer of 2003
Bremerton is about 1500 miles from San Diego. It will cost us about $1,500 per mile to begin her restoration and tow her here. This is where you come in. Cloud 9 Shuttle will be sponsoring a mile of her journey. I'm asking you to do your part.
