I wouldn't say that, but he was the favorite in pretty much every Survivor Poll, with Daniel a close second.

Daniel is already the favorite for next week:

Well, not to be critical of anybody's playing style, but on the Survivor main page there has ALWAYS been a link to two sites (not including the official site) that have more information than you'd ever want to know about Survivor.

Some people choose to utilize those resources, some don't. I'm not convinced that the ones that do score better... BUT they've always been there.. no big mystery.

Last nights show, did anybody get a kick out of the flirting that was going on during the first challenge?

I was laughing at the lame lines the guys were using and how the women appeared to be sucking it up until they turned around and went for the kill...........boy women are good at that. :Boobies: :Lovers: :sperm:

Sideout
02-28-03, 01:34 PM

Dave
02-28-03, 01:37 PM
LOL, Rob uses that Goofy, Dork tactic....only I dont think it's a tactic :nerd:

JBMoney
02-28-03, 01:49 PM
Yes, that was fairly entertaining.

Jenna in particular was interesting. Remember that she made the comment in the very first episode on how disappointed she was that tribes were going to be boy/girl and how it was definitely her intention to use her womanly charm to survive votes. Last night she was making eyes at EVERYONE. So that strategy may still be a factor.

I would be pretty certain though that after another week or so, nobody is going to WANT to be in close quarters with anyone else, if they can avoid it. Some of the women are already being affected pretty badly (e.g., Heidi losing hair already and a lot of weight). Deena may be the only girl that actually looks better by the end, looks like she already lost 15 pounds out there and was even starting to look feminine for a minute or two.

The comment was made to me regarding how the men really look like a bunch of sexist, sex hungry morons, but you have to remember that CBS is editing 3 days, two tribes and 14 people into maybe 45 minutes. They're going to pick stuff that people react to. So... you have a bunch of guys who really don't have any diversion other than light fishing, getting water, and keeping up the camp, spending 3 days with each other. They are going to talk about everything under the sun and that was the most interesting thing in their camp for CBS to show. It must be pretty boring there.

If the women tribe's problems just getting basic necessities and a camp wasn't eating all their TV time, you'd see the same sort of chatter over there. As it turns out, their struggle just to survive was their most interesting story.

Sideout
02-28-03, 01:49 PM
LOL - ya know Dave, not that I want to start something here...well maybe I do for entertainment purposes...anyway - since this is being touted as a 'battle of the sexes' survivor, have you notice a conspicuous lack of 'everyone drag the cart through a course' or 'everyone row the boats in a relay' type challenges?
hmmm...

JB, it appears that this venue for Survivor lacks adequate places for the participants to get clean, when they are near an ocean the salt water helps them remove some of what mother nature put or layered on their bodies. The water they are bathing in now is full of pirana and snakes and it doesn't look very clean, it looks mucky.

And did you see how dirty the girl's clothes were at the challenge, they all looked like Cinderella after cleaning the fireplace.

The hygiene thing has to be getting to the women, although they did win some products and cleaning tools such as the nail clippers...but did you see the nail clippers?? it was covered in rust...where did they get that?? It looks like something you would have dug from the dirt as a child while playing, like a matchbox car that was mia and burried in the ground for a few years.

When the show first started last night I thought the girls were done, their camp was a mess and they looked like they had it....but by the end, they had gotten their act together and cleaned up. The guys are looking pretty pathetic right now (as I look for paying such close attention to this stupid show)...ahh, what competition does to ones soul.

JBMoney
02-28-03, 02:34 PM
Yeah, that water was something else. They'd make a little splash and you'd see all the gunk rise to the top. Nasty business. No way they were actually getting clean, just moving it around.

That has sometimes been the case. In Suvivor Africa (3) they had virtually nothing to wash with. One tribe's water location was only 3-4 inches deep, with long grass growing in it and it was full of animal waste. They went out to wash once and noted how an elephant had just crapped in the middle of their water hole. The other tribes was not much better.

I'd expect that one of the next reward challenges will have something to do with a supply of fresh water, like the big barrel in S3.

You got me thinking about the other series, and, not that it's related, but IMHO S4 was probably the most unremarkable out of all of them. Nothing really memorable except Sarah's breasts.

Dave
02-28-03, 02:41 PM
I missed the Africa series, I lost interest after the second Survivor and only started watching again because of the contest here.....when are the behind the scenes tapes coming out so we can see the nude bathing scene, I was waiting for the chicka chicka boom music to start playing.

I think it is now confirmed that Heidi is surgically enhanced. Natural boobies just don't hang that way.

A sneak snack blindsides "Survivor" exile
GAil Pennington
Post-Dispatch

02/27/2003

Janet Koth demands a lie detector test. The focus of her outrage: a contraband snack that cut short her stay on "Survivor: The Amazon."

"It wasn't me," she says when asked about the Great Granola Bar Incident. "I was totally set up."

Koth, 47, a nurse-travel consultant-abstinence counselor from Manchester, became the first woman to exit the show after the all-female Jabaru tribe lost last week's immunity challenge. Since then, she's been making the whirlwind rounds of talk shows, from CBS' "Early Show" last Friday to "Late Show With David Letterman" on Monday, with "Caroline Rhea," "Inside Edition" and "Entertainment Tonight" in between.

Everywhere, people have the same things to say. First, they tell her how great she looks. Then, they ask about the granola bar.

Etc....
