This is a harmless thread. I have a long day ahead of me and I need something to take my mind off things... so...

What's your guilty pleasure? You know.. the thing you love, even though you feel you should be too old, too sophisticated, too something or other to enjoy?

I like to finger paint... I like to sit outside at night in my pajamas...I still love to see Santa Claus at the end of the Thanksgiving day parade...I like Tesla...I will still play with Barbie dolls when I get the opportunity...

I do everything in my power to get my kids to color...then I sit with them and join in....it makes me look like a great Dad but, in reality I love it......Lincoln logs, Legos and Tinker Toys are also favorites of mine.

I used to be a big kid at heart but, I have found that some of the childish things that would still excite me don't anymore. The last couple of years of my life have hardened me quite a bit.....I am slowly transforming from a big baby to a cold hearted bastard.....and I don't like it.

-I use my kids as an excuse to watch spongebob.
-I play computer games more than I should.
-I still let my mom cook dinner when she visits, because she still knows "how I like it made".
-I have more fun putting the kids toys together than they do playing with them.
-I only pause and think for about 5 seconds after seeing that Miss July was born AFTER Empire Strikes Back came out, before looking at the rest of the pics.

I just bought 14 different Lego bionicle robots. They were on sale, wife thinks I'm nuts.:D I will watch almost any cartoons even if I don't like them. Putting things togehter "when its for enjoyment". Knowing more about something than the person next to me. Going easter egg hunting, but I actually like hiding them more. Going trick or treating (most people don't give me candy, the bastards). Checking the mail (don't know why exactly, its always bills anyway :( ). Showing up punks who think that a fast car = a good racer. Buying things that I don't need. It goes on and on.

Funny you say that, I'm married to an Italian and I'm Irish. So I make this beautiful sauce, nice amounts of garlic, onions, mushrooms a few very small carrots, very hot sausage, and it's really nice. So my wife makes the same one, So I say hers is beautiful, she says mine is the best, funny how that works. I know my sauce rocks but my wife has something I don't do to mine??? I cook my sausage in boiling water to get most of the fat out. I cook it but leave it pink in the middle, then I let it simmer in the sauce, let it cool. Re-heat and serve, this is a all day thing for me. maybe it's a mind screw?

working hard, then coming home and declaring loudly: "I am going to sit on my ass and drink beer";
eating italian, greek, irish, german, chinese, or japenese food until I have to lossen my pants;
Guiness Stout with a mid-size A Fuente (naked, in the spa);
very dry Blue Bomb Martini shaken until my fingers hurt from the cold, a chilled glass, three rinsed, crisp Queen olives, ice chips floating, downed while it's still icy cold with a big bowl of Utz potato chips (voted best in America).

I saw an ad in Autoweek for an assortment of fine cigars and an aluminum travel case for $29.95. 12 single name brand stogies. Macanudo, Partagas, Montoya, Upmann, etc. All the above are sold for about $8.00 each around here at bars and c-stores. I would never pay that much. But with shipping included this deal was less than $3.00 each and the case and a Thompson cap to boot. I rarely do mail order but this was a deal. So today it shows up and I rip into it. What they sent was an awesome leather travel humidor with assessories. And 10 cigars, in an assortment of 3 types of cigars, all of them cheap. And an invoice stating "100% satisfaction." Fortunately for them they also included a UPS call tag. The ad stated they could substitute brades due to availability, but I didn't get a single one included in the ad. I am going to send them back. I wanted my Partagas and Joya de Montoya.

In my sweats or boxers (if it ever gets above 60 in Michigan) alone.

Nothing makes me happier than watching the Godfather trilogy or my new Rambo boxset or Blackhawk Down or etc.
