Survivor 6: Survivors Announced

The next group of media whores was announced on 'The Early Show' this morning. Show starts on February 13th.

It's going to be boys vs. girls this time.... for real... no head fakes.

I noticed a definite lack of useful 'luxury items'. Yeah, the first thing I'm bringing to the Amazon is my favorite jacket. Whatever. Most of them seem very into themselves and their previous accomplishments. "Oh, I'm going to bring this medal I won for a triathalon." Sure, that'll come in handy. "Water balloons?" Huh?

I have mixed feelings about the whole guys vs. girls deal. I think from a sociological perspective, it will be interesting to see what lines form amongst men and women, but I'm not sure how long the novelty will remain interesting.

Heidi the PE teacher stood out to me as a possible #1 boot, just for the fact that she's only 24 and has had a lot of work experience (read: difficult? fickle?).

My favorite part of these bios is the "if so-and-so wins the million" part. Everyone's like "buy a new car." "Pay off my student loans." One lady says "get new flooring for my house." Uh...its A MILLION DOLLARS. How about, "Buy a brand-new gigantic house?" It's like they're giving their runner-up answers.

Definitely looking forward to it though.

What a motley crew this group is. I hear ya J.Se about the lack of useful luxury items. I know if I was going to spend all that time in the Amazon the last thing I would bring is a magic 8 ball or magnetic rings. Here's a list of all the luxury items.
