Chrysler Group Chief Operating Officer Wolfgang Bernhard motors along the stage
aboard the brand-new Dodge Tomahawk V-10, 8.3-liter (505 cubic inch) concept
motorcycle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 6,
2003. The Tomahawk features four-wheel independent suspension, and the superbike's
engine, borrowed from the Viper sports car, can propel it at speeds of nearly 400 mph.

A Viper engine? THAT would be a fun ride. Wonder what the insurance for that would run.

At 400 mph a helmet isn't gunna help much if ya come off and you will cos the air pressure will rip you off! A helmet with a visor will however enable you to see what your about to hit!

When jhans, rickmode and I were down in Key West a couple months ago, we saw a couple of Harleys modified to fit a smallblock V8.

Must be compensating for something...

Hell then you haven't seen any of the customized 3-wheelers like we have here. Look like a freakin drag car. Large block V-8's decked out with superchargers and dual carbs and all that good stuff. Cromed out with accessories hanging off everywhere. Funny thing is that they won't drive them damn things faster than 30 mph. I've also seen a few V-8 motorcycles. They are a trip, thats for sure.

About 15 years ago a bloke here in Oz built a bike using a V twin made by cutting the first two cylinders off a 27 litre Rolls-Royce Merlin aircraft engine, what a beast of a machine!
Another bloke here, by the name of Rod Hadfield has put a two stage supercharged Merlin in a 55 Chevy, this monster has over 3000HP and is road registered! Rod also has a Ford model T with a 429ci installed and is fitted with 2 superchargers, this is also road registered!
