A big "THANK YOU" to all of you who regularly choose to spend a part of your day here at the Bressler.org Forum. The variety of personalities that inhabit this place have made it a very friendly and entertaining little corner of the internet.
I hope that this Holiday Season finds all of you in good health and safely in the company of friends and family. Along with my best wishes for the New Year, I hope you'll continue to be a part of our 'extended family' here at Bressler.org.
While I may be noted as having a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor, often interpreted as being 'gruff', know that I consider all of the regular contibutors here as personal friends (and that any 'ribbing' on my part would be twice as bad in person). I am honored that you choose to spend your valuable time here and hope that you would not hesitiate to contact me with any suggestions and feedback (or just to shoot the breeze), particularly as we enter a new year.
As for the moderators, I couldn't do without you. In addition to being the sounding board for every one of my stupid ideas, providing input on EVERY official forum action, and helping plot against Stibroker (oops), you guide the 'personality' of this board. Without you it would be as bland as its host.
Carry on...
John Bressler

So...who's going out New Years Eve? Staying home? Hosting a party? Couldn't care less?
Well, after drinking way to much on saturday (bad day in freaks house), I am recovering, and an old navy friend is coming to our house for new year's. The bar is stocked in anticipation!

Was going to go to a party, but decided to stay home.
I'm staying in...I hate going out on New Year's Eve. Now that I think about it, I'm not really crazy about going out any night. I'd rather have people come to my house.

We're going to a friends house not too far away. He and his band will be playing and if I get loaded enough, I might join in.

I usually stay home or go to the Pacific Mall celebration in Santa Cruz. They have 2 or 3 bands playing throughout the length of the mall and bars throughout. At midnight everyone gathers at the historic clocktower at one end and does the Auld Lang Syne (sic?) thing. It's usually freezing cold.
Think I'll stay home though. I like it here.

I wasn't sure what I was going to do this year. I have done my best to avoid making a lot of plans while I've been home. My brother and his wife invited us out, so we accepted. I believe we're going to a local bar where they have food/bands and all that crap. It sounds fun I guess. So that's my plans for New Years Eve.

I will probably stay home, maybe go to the in-laws for a while. Then hang out in the Bressler chat room. :alien:

Going to the Gorilla's hockey game, then back home. But my fellow hockey fans, tell me, who ever heard of a hockey team named the Go-rilla's. Previous teams have been the Wranglers, Armadillos, etc. I mean, it's not like we are overrun with gorillas here in this part of Texas; & just wtf do gorillas have to to with cold weather, ice, or skating? Thank God for that four year old that submitted that name.
Welcome to the jungle:rolleyes:
