A quick question: Would we feel "weird" if all atrocities committed against anyone by anyone, stopped?

Look at his eyes. He is trying to hypnotize me, but not in the good Las Vegas way.

Nope... but I was just wondering how we might feel. It'll never happen so I don't know why I asked the question

That is a very interesting question Nic. When you say atrocity, in who’s eye would that atrocity be committed? Case in point; In India it might be an atrocity to kill a cow, in Texas it would be an atrocity to go without a steak. So who’s atrocity are we talkin’ bout? :)
Person against person... not that I condone violence against animals either.
I guess what I'm asking is: Has violence and any and all kinds of abuses committed against people *by* people become/always been a part of the "fabric" of our lives? I'm not suggesting people everywhere aren't angered, saddened, distressed etc., by inhumane acts... but are we in some ways "immune" to it? Do we just expect it? And if abuses/violence against others abruptly stopped, all over the world, would we feel "weird"? (For lack of a better description).
Nic :)
Its a fact of human nature that we can't all agree even on the simplest of things like how high to build a fence. There are many people who will never accept anything but their way. When reason inevitably fails they will resort to violence. The only way to prevent this violence is of course with more violence.
"You only lose when you stop fighting."
In answer to your question ,we would feel weird I believe because if you stop all violence by all people someone else would step in and kick arse(ass).
Not just human nature, but nature encompassed... (even Europeans)
It would be just like Star Trek.

It would be definately weird then.I gues that answers your question Nic......yes.
No, I don't think I would personally feel weird. I do think that the news would be completely different. Wouldn't it be nice if the news devoted more time to the positive rather than the negative?

Trouble in the middle east a camel jam was experienced in Cairo today but everyone was polite and it has now cleared.
And now in local news
Mrs jones had a nice cup of tea today witnesses report it was quite uneventful.
teenage gangs rode their skateboards.A passerby claims all were wearing safety gear but he did notice one had acne.
Coming up the weather.........not weird at all.
