View Full Version : Hey JB... About the New Aussies...

It's funny how some of the "New Aussies" can't seem to make any points to back up their argument without taking a figurative crap on Americans. Medusa in particular adds a direct insult to 'yanks' in every post. In my view, this is 'getting personal' with every American here.
I haven't seen any American here insulting our friends in the other Hemisphere, except arguably some time this morning... I haven't caught up. But I'd certainly expect it after two days of nothing but attempting to degrade America.
In fact, I think the 'New Aussies' got a warm welcome from the board, even though they immediately got down to berating America.
I'd recommend to the "New Aussies" that they try to base their arguments on fact... I mean if you actually plan on winning any arguments. In my book, if you have to personally insult someone, you've conceded your point. I'm pretty sure that's how most of us feel.
If you're not trying to discuss issues and just stirring-shit, then I'm all for JBMoney moving some folks into the 'Fucktard' user group that can only post in Fight Club. I think insulting 'Yanks' in every post violates the no getting personal rule.
Feel free to discuss...

Wow. Aswome! I couldn't agree more.
If all they are here for is to degrade The US (which by the way provided them with access to the intarweb. You'd think someone would be more grateful for us allowing them to use technology that we came up with.) I say move them to Fight Club.
*Please note that I only went after medusa in Fight Club*.
I don't like much of what they've had to say so far, but what pisses me off is the way they try to say it. I don't care if they agree with me or my politics or my country, but show a little fucking respect. If it weren't for us, they'd all be speaking Japanese. Maybe they will read this and back off of some of their antics. If not, I say send them to the Fucktard Nursery until they can grow up.
Heyyyyyy... Carl's right. NUKE 'EM!!!! http://bushwhacked.net/forum/images/smilies/buc.gif

Hey look, they're not Aussies, they're from Sydney!
 :)
I still tip toe around this place out of respect of the members who have been here for a long time because I feel it takes time to blend in.......sorry, my two cents fell out of my pocket

Reporting for duty, Herr Bressler.
I wouldn't mind but they've got no sense of humour.
They are an embarrassment.More because there is not an original thought between them than anything else. Its just what they were told to think yesterday at school.I doubt they have been on a moderated forum before.
They would be the first to vilify someone they labelled as racist but fail to realise that what they are displaying is overt racism.
They're not real Aussies.Just cardboard cutouts of Aussies with a sound track.

I think by now the Japanese would be speaking with really bad Australian accents , drinking beer and taking long weekends.

Thus far in the threads I've been involved in Strangeboy has been decent, although Medusa doesn't seem overly bright.
That's it, that's it...? just one sentence gopsdragon? :scary:
Yes I actually like strangeboy a bit. Not quite as bad as the other two, but I don't think they need be worried about to much. I have a feeling they'll end up going to whatever board they came from in the first place to be with people that hold common interests.

Strangeboy has a good heart but medusa is exactly that. She will also use several other names so that she can have people agreeing with her - don't be fooled into thinking there are a lot of people like her down here. She also loves being the devil's advocate, so she doesn't necessarily believe what she says. I think it depends on what medication she's on (just throwing an old insult back at her there....lol)

I am not anti American but I am anti guns, anti war and anti capital punishment. I thought that the idea of forums was so that people could express their opinion. It would be a very boring place if everyone agreed. If I have been rude in anyway it is only because someone has been rude to me first.
I have joined about five forums in the last week because nobody posts at the one I used to go to anymore and this is the only one I have contributed any of my thoughts to because it is the only that I have found interesting.
I'll write more defending myself l8r my animals are hungry

Strangeboy's a good egg.
Different opinions are what make a Forum interesting. You just have to be able to back those opinions up with a little more than 'I'm right because America Sucks', especially here.
I'm not necessarily saying that Strangeboy is doing that, but there has been a little of that going on here lately, and as one of Medusa's heroes might say, "That dog won't hunt".

See post #17
Regardless of our political differences I do hope we can have some stimulating :hehe: conversation. Maybe my perspective will be changed, maybe yours will be, if neither at least we can have some fun, respectful, and hopefully humorous dialogue and get something out of it anyway. :)
Wait till Pumpit Muncher cums around. ..oy, talk about post wars.;)

Probably not Cuda. We had to argue with him just because he disagreed, but if Strangeboy, etc. disagree with us intelligently than everybody will probably prefer to argue/discuss/debate with them.

I hope I haven't offended anybody....I don't think I have
I haven't insulted anybody here, but I do have a right to say what I think about the Iraq situation etc.
And yes stangeboy, I do have a good heart....

Haven't offended me. I just hope when we do talk you try and add substance like strangeboy does. I obviously don't agree with him on everything, but the difference with him so far is that he says here is why I believe what I believe. In the past some people have disagreed with us and relied on insinuation and a superiority complex as if it was below them to deign to talk to such uneducated Americans. Of course the reason we were uneducated is because we didn't recognize our inferiority.

gopsdragon... I dont think we have agreed on anything (except kylie minogue and i dont think that its the music that we were agreeing about:hehe: ) but you are my favourite person here so far excluding my Australian friends...

Attempting to embarass/ridicule/stereotype a member of this board because of their sexual preference is EVEN MORE unacceptable on The Forum as doing so because of their Nationality.
Any more teasing in that respect, and some folks *cough* Stibroker *cough* will be spending ALL of their time in Fight Club.

yes sir .....as stibroker goes to the corner in a pointy hat again for the second time this week.........

thanks... i can handle people having a little fun about it but considering the exchanges between misscreant and me today I dont think it was meant in a fun friendly way and she has made reference to it in another thread for no reason at all.
I appreciate what you have done, I dont really want everything I say to be reduced down to my sexuality which apart from stating that I am gay I dont think I have made an issue of it
stibroker, i do like your comments on the jan murray site...........hmmm! you might be a nice guy after all

Yes I was thinking that too.... although one or two people here have pissed me off, a couple have really suprised me and I am beginning to really like them.

 whaaaaaa...did misscreant say something bad,did she??? i won't mention what you said about her in the JM forum....
...but apart from all that,i've been cracking up over the mere fact that there's 'new aussies',and without going into any detail,i'd just like to say that i'm glad a distinction has been made........:)
jillamanda
10-18-02, 05:34 PM
....on second thoughts, maybe i will go into a little bit of detail. i don't usually get serious at this site, but i agree with the yanks here. i have to admit that i sort of had a 'yanks suck' attitude too...once. the internet has showed me that americans are just like us , maybe a few cultural differences, but that's what makes them yanks and us aussies.....and this particular site has done more to drive that point home to me that any i've been to. i love all the seppos here, and apart from auff, i can't recall having any 'run ins' with any of them. sure, there's been some friendly 'hanging shit',but that's to be expected - nothing personal and all in good fun. i have to say that it looked to me like you 'new aussies' just came here to see how many people you could upset too....we all have something to contribute (although sometimes i have to wonder) and that's what makes this site so good. your opinions are listened to,and others have the right to disagree with them. just because you're 'new aussies',doesn't make you anything unique.........
Yeah and I think they're lightening up a bit.......it's a good thing.:hehe:
Hell even Medusa is throwing out a compliment here and there.;)
Did somebody say Creedence?;):D
