International authorities close in on 22 Nigerians accused of e-mail bank fraud.

Nigerian criminals who have masterminded a series of fraudulent online schemes in several African countries are on the run in South Africa, according to local reports.

In a recent development in the ongoing series of Internet-based crimes, the fraudsters made off with millions of dollars swindled from foreign online investors using reputable South African banks.

Chasing Scammers

U.K. and U.S. authorities reportedly are closing in on the alleged criminals, and the South African Crime Elite Forces arrested 22 Nigerians allegedly behind the South African banks scheme. The 22 are reportedly part of a broader group that set up fake Web sites that appeared to be those of reputable financial institutions, luring victims to open accounts and pay fees ranging from $1000 to more than $4100. Authorities have traced telephone numbers used by the alleged criminals to South Africa, Europe, and the United States. Some numbers have been linked to Nigeria.

The sophistication of the fake Web sites suggests it is not likely that all of them were generated in Nigeria, analysts said. Some officials believe the schemes are part of a larger network of organized crime, particularly given the complexity of the crimes and the amount of money bilked from victims.

Common Thread

The ongoing scheme, which often starts with an unsolicited e-mail appeal, has struck victims in the United States, United Kingdom, and various European nations. It generally follows a scenario of an alleged Nigerian government official who wants to deposit millions of dollars in the e-mail recipient's bank account, in order to bypass some local bureaucratic snafu. He requests your name and bank account number.

Many people have been conned out of their savings in this dangerous and ongoing scam, known as the Advance Fee Fraud, 419 Fraud, or Nigerian Scam. Reports from the 419 Coalition, trying to raise awareness of the scam, say people have been conned out of more than $5 billion.

Law enforcement officials have estimated that an average of five people fly daily from the United States to Europe to meet with people they believe they have forged deals with after the e-mail propositions, only to have no one show up to meet them and to discover they have been duped.

Of course, that's just my humble opinion because I was able to fight off the incredible temptation to provide someone I don't know with my account info and money based upon a cheezy email. It was tough to do, I know, but I was tougher.

In her later years she returned to England and started her own ministry Holy Church of The Order of The Red Breast and was very active until her sad death in 1861.

As a qualification to enter the Holy Church of The Order of The Red Breast, all followers must go through the initiation procedure that Miss Carrington made so famous. Of course in these modern times, female members do not have to paint their breast. They only need to make the symbol on their stomachs. However, all males must still show commitment to the church by having the symbol of the church marked on their breasts.

My sister, this is what you will need to do in order to complete the church induction ceremony:

You must remove your shirt and then paint/draw in red, the symbols of our church. So that you know exactly how the symbol must look, I have attached a photograph of four of our young inductees going through the procedure. Please use this picture to enable you to make the same marking on yourself. I have also attached a small picture showing the design in more detail.

Next you will need to have a HIGH QUALITY photograph taken and sent it to us my email attachment.

Once your photograph has been received we will then forward you the induction certificate. All this requires is your name and signature. Once you have signed and dated it, please send it back to me by email attachment.

I explained to Sister Grace the church take's care of all our need's and
