just wondering if any of you have heard about this.......the new thing that's big in suburban areas is something called ghost riding......here's the two videos that started this new fad.......

basically......ghost riding is when you leave your car rolling and you get outside of the car and dance beside it or surf on the roof......it's like teen wolf...... except without someone actually controlling the vehicle......you just get out and dance while your music blasts......so far two people have died (http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory?id=2759535) because of this and I think that Darwin's getting a good laugh out of it......this is something that got big in California, and because of the popularity of the two songs above, it's now spread everywhere else and it's reportedly HUGE in white urban areas.......here's a link to a plethora of YouTube videos of people doing this........

The original Leopard 2 had a slab turret and definitely looked German. The 2A5 has a sheet metal bolt-on around the front of the turret for protection from RPGs and HEAT rounds. They haul ass and have a stablized gun system. The M1 Abrams uses the same German Rheinmetel 120mm gun and can be refitted with the Leopard's diesel engine in 30 minutes. All in all, Leopards are cool tanks. :cool:

Yep, and I noticed the Leopard's 120mm gun is a shorter caliber than the M1 Abram's.

As an aside note: barrel calibers for naval artillery is the length in inches times the bore size. So, a 3"-50 naval gun would be 150" long or, 76mmX3810mm (for foreigners). An 8" howizter is also known as a 203mm. For some reason, the Army has mainly used millimeters and meters since WWI, while the Navy has used inches and yards. 8" guns were first used on Navy ships (light cruisers), so I guess that's why it stayed 8" with the Army. The Navy still uses yards since British service for distance to targets and aviators around the world use feet for altitude. I certainly wouldn't want to guess how many parts of a meter I was from the ground.
