S. Padre Beach is awsome! Hope ya have a great time! I think the only thing you have to worry about there is the occational sea snake and maybe an illegal alien or two;)

What Part of Padre Island are you heading for? I used to live 30 min from the southern most part of the island, close to Brownsville,Texas. I miss the beach.

well for years we went to s.p. and stayed
at the tiki condo's ...but as the kids got older and learned to pick on each other and making the 4 and a half hour drive unbearable from austin....soooooo for the last couple years we have been doing north pad. at gulf stream condo's outside corp. chris.....but for years the seaweed is has been the worst.....next year we are thinking just flying the family to cozamel for better beach....we love a killer beach....

Never been to the north part. Yeah the seaweed has been really bad for the last 6 years or so. I'll be going down there around the 27th and I hope its not to bad. I have to drive about 19 hours to get there but I don't have kids. I'm guessing its about the same. And 4.5 hours? How fast were you driving? I'm betting it was nowhere near speed limit. lol Anyway, hope you have a good time.

You want to see the best beaches in the world you need to come to Perth Western Australia we DO have the most beautiful crystal clear water with miles and miles of beautiful deep white sandy beach lines and we have some top surf beaches as well if thats what your into as well :)
