Buy, beg, borrow, or steal, a bicycle, tricycle, car, plane, train, whatever you can that allows you to get over to see this movie. It is hilarious and wild, where at times the entire theater was laughing right out loud. It's completely original and it leaves you with plenty to talk about with your friends at dinner afterwards.

Agreed!

A quirky movie, directed by Spike Jonze (not Jones), who must have been greatly influenced by Terry Gillam's work (Fisher King, Brazil, Time Bandits). An estranged puppeteer Craig Schwartz, played by John Cusack, lands a file clerk job on the seventh-and-a-half floor of a large office building. One day he finds, behind a file cabinet, a mysterious portal that drops you into the mind of actor John Malkovich, who is played by himself, for exactly 15 minutes. Craig's desperate attempt to get into a co-worker's pants, eventually results in an off-hours money-making scheme, and abuse of the portal's powers to such an extent that Malkovich begins to notice that something is awry. It also turns out that there is an even deeper purpose behind the portal. BJM is tremendously funny and the acting is excellent. Cusack and Malkovich are ably supported by Catherine Keener (Craig's co-worker/interest) and Cameron Diaz (Craig's Wife), who plays a very different role from her usual.

Score: 8/10

Excellent movie! I haven't laughed out loud at a movie since "There's something about Mary...". In fact, Mary was in this movie and I didn't recognize her.
