That was the message delivered to a biotechnology industry gathering yesterday in Waikiki. However, it wasn't the message that was unconventional, but the messenger — Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore. - Whole Story (http://www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060113/BUSINESS11/601130327/1071)

Funny. I was talking to a very liberal Bush-hating friend from New Zealand the other day and brought up Kyoto just to her her go off like she used to. To my surprise she said "you know, New Zealand has already quietly half backed out of the Kyoto Accords because they are so costly. Maybe Bush is better at math than I thought."No joke. I was flabbergasted at the partial turnaround in her opinion of him. Then I gave Condi the credit for the math.
