adnki (http://www.adnki.com/index_2Level.php?cat=Politics&loid=8.0.245697822&par=)- The Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that there will be no dialogue with Europe because it is a waste of time. This point was underlined by the Iranian leader during his first appearance in front of the committee of foreign affairs and national security of the Majlis, the parliament in Tehran.

"The president, defined the attempts by the governments of the past 16 years to bring to the table a dialogue with Europe and to try and reduce tensions, as a waste of time which has so far not produced any tangible results for our country," Kazem Jalali, a member of the commission, told the media.

"The policies of the previous governments, has distanced the Islamic republic from its revolutionary origins and produced a damaging laxity," added Jalali who was quoting the words used by Ahmadinejad. - whole story (http://www.adnki.com/index_2Level.php?cat=Politics&loid=8.0.245697822&par=)

I wonder why he's so adamant that there wasn't a holocaust? Do you really think he believes it didn't happen?

Yahoo news (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060105/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iran_israel_sharon_1) - Iran's president said Thursday he hoped for the death of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, the latest anti-Israeli comment by a leader who has already provoked international criticism for suggesting that Israel be "wiped off the map."

"Hopefully, the news that the criminal of Sabra and Chatilla has joined his ancestors is final," President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by the semiofficial Iranian Students News Agency.

Iran's official media, including state-run radio and television, did not report Ahmadinejad's remarks about Sharon.

"Hopefully, others (criminals like him) will join him too," ISNA quoted Ahmadinejad as telling a group of clerics in Qom, a holy city 80 miles south of the capital, Tehran. He spoke a day after the 77-year-old Sharon suffered a massive stroke and underwent surgery.
