I'll be upgrading the Forum software soon, which means all the hacks (store, bookie, etc) will be non-functional for a bit. Some perhaps permanently.

Forum may also be closed for a very short period of time.

I take it these upgrades are a lot like microsoft upgrades.

Everything is the same, there is nothing new, only they rearrange where everything is to eff with your mind and confuse you till you get used to it all in time for the next brilliant upgrade / new world order that you can't live without.

Since we all only exist for the endless quest of Bressler Bucks, what's up with the points on these upgrades? Suddenly I have a decimal place where there was none before, my total bounces around so I can't tell if I'm earning interest or paying taxes or what, and I generally feel like I've invested in Enron. How the heck can I plan my retirement in these market conditions?

The store is out of business for the short term, at a minimum, as there is no final product for this version of vBulletin. I do have a record of bank balances. These will be added to your visible totals as I clean out the bank.

I may freeze and appropriate point from banned 'terrorists', and redistribute as I see fit.

Hey JB, up above when I'm doing a post to the right of the smileys pulldown there is a thing for attachments, but the graphic is missing (at least over here it is). I figure you could put in a pic of Sti or DMS there to fill the abyss.

This is kinda like with AutoCad. With each new version they move things to other pull-downs so you have to search where they went. What was once an edit function is now a tool setting and some functions are hidden: not all dimensioning settings are under the Dimension tab; text edit doesn't really mean text edit, so you'd better go to their site to find out; view is not what you're viewing.

Maybe Jelsoft, Microsoft, and Autodesk are run by the same mad scientist trying to justify his job. :evil:

Speaking of pulldowns (ok so I am behind), am I the only one that the pulldowns works only on the forum main page? i.e. the quick links pull down.

I have that problem too Freak. I noticed yesterday the pulldowns didn't work in some screen but I din't know they'd work in others. It's all Bush's fault.

JB, I understand quite a bit about wealth monopolization since you're the guy at the top and want to stay there but are the settings correct in that we now only get 1 point per post and 1 point for a new thread? I know these are tough times but gas is expensive and we need a raise and I would think the last thing you would want is for us to unionize against unfair managerial practices. :Poke:
