If California Republicans run Swarzenegger for Gov. they are stupid.

Where can I find articles making the claims you have stated about Arnold Swarzenegger?
Regards,
Mike
Arnold is a great choice for Governor. I'm sure that like yourself, Gray Davis, and the California Democratic party would prefer Arnold not run. Lets examine your logic.
1. First you state: "If California republicans run Swarzenegger for Gov. they are stupid."
a. The Republican Party does not dictate who runs for the nomination of the party, only who gets it. Looking at the Party's current line-up, only Arnold instills fear in the hearts and minds of the opposition. Not to mention that he could self-fund.
2. You go on to state that his conservative credentials don't stack up. News flash, a hard-core philosophical conservative WILL NOT get elected to statewide office anytime soon. Arnold is philosophically and strateigically an excellent fit. THATS WHY HE'S CAUSING GRAY DAVIS AND BOOB MULHULLAND TO LOOSE SLEEP.
I'm a long time member of the CRA, NRA and a committed conservative Republican. In order to win statewide contests conservatives have to fight smarter not just louder.
Your extreeme rehtoric doesn't cause me to question Arnold's credentials, just your thinking. You have put yourself in the same camp as Bob Mulhulland... Sleep well...

Would you just rather roll over and hand it to the democrats. Who is your choice for a candidate? I can assure you that he/she won't get elected. I can also assure you that a candidate that meets your qualifications would do nothing but alienate a minority community that is alrady skeptical of Republicans.
I am still waiting for Arnold to make Preditor 3. Preditor 1 was great and preditor 2 sucked. Bring Arnold back. As for governor I think Arnold would be as good a choice as any.
You have got to give examples of this. I have never seen or heard of any of this and I usually check the internet for news at least every other day (TV news is 99% liberal propoganda now). We do need to get out of the UN. We also need to end Socialism in our country and out. I suspect that your either an unimformed conservative fanatic, or a liberal operative attempting to sabatoge this campaign like the smear tatics used by the press a while back.
It's hardly a secret that Schwarzenegger is pro-abortion and pro-handgun control. He's made this clear in many public statements. (Just go to Google, type in "Schwarzenneger assault weapons" or "Schwarzenegger pro-choice", etc. and see what comes up.)He calls himself a fiscal conservative, but it's hard to see how he could be fiscally conservative and still support all the social spending he advocates. He's democrat-lite, and he'll attract the same sort of voter who likes Chaffee and Jeffords. If he's my only choice, let the dems keep California. I'm not about to encourage the Republican party to continue its left-leaning trend.
BTW, does anybody know where Schwarzenegger's *position statements* are at this website? There is no obvious link to them here. Most political candidates' campaign websites lay these out, but I have yet to find them here. Wonder why...

Clearly, if you know so much about Schwarzenegger's positions on issues, you would also know that Schwarzenegger is not actually a candidate at the moment, and that Schwarzenegger2002.com *IS NOT* his official campaign site (since he doesn't have a campaign). Schwarzenegger2002.com, which is attempting to "Draft" him into running and build support in case he should decide to do so, is not sanctioned or financed by Mr. Schwarzenegger. Also, he has no direct control over the content.
This being the case, I do not know his precise positions on every issue that faces California. Since he is not a candidate yet, it's possible that he hasn't even taken a sharply defined position on many issues. Any attempt by me to define his public policy positions would be presumptuous, and probably end up being incorrect.
If Mr. Schwarzenegger gets serious about running, I'm sure he will need to educate himself more fully on a number of California issues.
Regardless of Mr. Schwarzenegger's positions, four more years of Governor Davis ensures that there will be *NO* public debate on the issues you have mentioned in California. Further the lack of a Republican candidate, that actually has a chance to win, will lock in continued GOP defeats at the expense of Conservative Republican legislators in California.
